Sure, no problem...just a cut and paste. I still use the old version of VS, so the channel descriptions are easy to see for me.

I agree, the channel should be more clear since it's important on this one channel that inappropriate posts not get in, unlike any other channel. Maybe change it to Kid Friendly or For Kids at least, but I don't even know if the channel owner still moderates the channel. I think a separate submission flow might be hard to implement, but isn't a bad idea.

....But to be clear, that's not the issue here. This poster has had the channel descriptions posted to him dozens of times, including by our moderators, and continued to reassign his videos to kids (and war on terror) because he thinks they belong there, channel descriptions be damned.

Lets hope 2 hobbles in one day and being talked to by Lucky and Dag has some effect. I'm sick to death of removing adult topics from a channel I don't even visit, much less own, just because it needs doing....I don't even like kids, but I don't want to watch them be abused for some adult's political point either.

There's a problem with some posters ignoring channel descriptions (even when they're cut and pasted into the comments). This is only slightly annoying....except when it's the kids channel, which is reserved for kid friendly videos.
Some have said the channel descriptions are no longer available (I still see them on each channel's page) so the definitions are left to the poster to determine on their own. This has led to numerous quite adult posts added to the kids channel, and repeatedly reassigned to kids after sifters properly removed it.

If we aren't going to enforce channel descriptions, can we at least remove the kids channel so people stop leaving snuff and torture stories in the daycare room please? I don't even like kids, but that's abusive.

I feel we need a ruling from on high here, either channels are totally open to interpretation and we have no kid safe space (so need to remove the channel that claims to be kid friendly), or not and we need to decide how to stop abusers who intentionally ignore the descriptions to make a point.

The NY Times tracked down the first poster, an 18 year old kid in Georgia, who says it's the pronunciation of Laurel, recorded through his speakers, directly from vocabulary.com with no layering or tricks.

Can't say I've ever felt that good about a poster, but then I don't really identify with most of the people in movies. They may be white, but they're usually REALLY good looking and that's practically another species

First article i found on it. Sounds like he linked two facebook accounts on twitter, one of them for posting a picture of some sort of super hateful poster that got put up in Peterson's neighbourhood? Blastedly hard to find bare facts in stuff like this.

That was a good description of why that form of argument is successful, but the proposed solution seems unsatisfying. I mean, if you just shut down all contrary views by deleting the posts, banning the posters or ignoring them, it makes it seem like you're just trying to build a comfortable echo chamber. I feel like you've got to preserve the willingness to consider that you might be wrong, even when confronted with trolls.
