Self pouring beer machine

Sagemind says...

In Western Countries, it's the Pop manufacturers like Coke and Pepsi that keep beer out of our fast food restaurants.

Did you know Pizza Hut, KFC and Tacco Bell are all owned by Pepsi, and whose sole purpose is to be vehicles to sell their beverages?

Likewise Coca cola has contracts with most of their users, such as McDonalds to keep out any competitors, and only sell their their products exclusively.

They lobby against selling beer in "Family-oriented" establishments so they can monopolize the drink industry.

Pizza delivery guy gets insulted, Internet gets revenge

Looks can be deceiving. For example, Pizza Hut looks delicious but it's vile.

Also, notice how the strings of cheese on the sides of the slices are just hanging there and not dripping down? Cold pizza. They should have filmed it fresh.

Curiosity Rover TOUCHDOWN!!

>> ^Chaucer:

President Barack Obama lauded the landing in a statement, calling it "an unprecedented feat of technology that will stand as a point of national pride far into the future." Obama went on to say, "If you've got a rover, you didnt build that..."

Actually, after he congratulated tax payers, he went on to say this rover was made possible by Well's Fargo, Citibank, and Pizza Hut.

Obama - healthcare law is constitutional

chingalera says...

Constitutional or not? Forget the constitution for a moment.
Ask yourself if the Mafiosi during prohibition (or now for that matter) who exacted payments from business owners in neighborhoods in Chicago under promise of either protection or retribution for non-compliance were protected under any laws save those of corruption, graft, extortion, and thuggery.

No difference here simply an emperor in new clothes. Rather than allowing such insanity to continue why don't we all pull our collective heads from our asses and wake up to the crime being perpetrated in just about every piece of legislation set forth from now on?

Let's suggest a solution to the health problem in the United States: Train the next two generations of TV-Addicted robots to stop putting poison in their bodies and place serious limitations on adverts for crap food. Dismember the Agri-lobby crowd inside the beltway. Dismantle Monsanto and other poisonous corporations dead-set on CREATING the health problems of the U.S. , etc. Ban advertising of a battery of staple products, fast-foods, etc.

Charge MORE money for crap food instead of making deep-fried roadkill from MC D's, Pizza Hut, etc. dirt, fucking cheap. Make the Mayo clinic's power foods list the most affordable stuff on the planet.

Reprogramming of dysfunctional habits is what is needed. Not some crap president's evil plan to keep the statusquo. He's a tool, his plan is bound to add to his legacy of shit. Fuck, the man is FROM the most corrupt city in the country!?? Can't those with an IQ over 110 get the gist?

Conan O'Brien Delivers Chinese Food in NYC

Crazy.

Compare that - http://www.pizzahut.com.cn/phdi/index.aspx#!handler/content.ashx?&tagid=32&proid=426

I went to Beijing for about 6 weeks this year and I don't think I've ever seen any home delivery for Chinese restaurants. Pizza hut claim to home deliver though, but I've never got their web page working.
Interestingly, the menu in the Chinese pizza hut has an awesome selection compare to the Aussie ones. You can get stakes, ribs, chicken wings and even alcohol: Chinese pizza hut menu.

Anywhere else in the world? What about in China?

What's wrong with charging for convenience? If you don't like it, go somewhere else or use cash. It's not rocket science. This is a witch hunt similar to toyota with the gas pedals.
If pizza hut raised the price of their pizza by a few bucks, would it make national news and warrant discussion on the senate floor? I think not.

You're actually equating a purchase with a fee? Besides, Interac and the other Point of Sale "cash equivalents" were brought in so that you would STOP actually coming in to the brick and mortar and wasting their time with non-sales matters. Debit is for THEIR convenience and profit. Now they're just getting greedy.

Because if one huge bank does it's likely that the other HUGE banks will do it and then there's a serious problem. Like when you have a monopoly or only 5 media companies in the United States, that's a serious problem.

I agree pull your money out and don't give them anymore business but just having a solution doesn't mean this doesn't warrant discussion or outrage. You can say "If you don't like the TV propaganda turn off the TV." That isn't the answer because you're going to have to deal with people all the time that have been influenced by said propaganda. We're a society, this kinda shit effects all of us when it's on a large enough scale.

Because they are charging us $5 a month for what costs them pennies to do. That's what's wrong with it.

Pizza Vending Machine -- no dough tossing here

While certainly no substitute for a good, traditional, and/or wood oven pizza, this intrigues me. I'd like to actually try one for myself, might even be better than Pizza Hut or Dominoes, but that's hardly an accomplishment.
