Raidiohead Fan Speaks Out
I actually liked them more as their albums went along. OK Computer had some good stuff, but it still had a lot of conventional stuff on it still. Kid A to me is where they made their artistic mark, and they truly became absolutely completely their own band, with their own sound, and just didn't care what anyone thought anymore. I personally think Hail to the Thief is on of the best albums ever made.
The new one is my least favorite since OK Computer, but I respect the hell out of them for not doing the same thing over and over again. Even though IMO King of Limbs didn't turn out as great music overall, it's still pretty good, and it's something they came up with on their own. Compare that to bands like U2, Rolling Stones, etc. There's just this point they just stopped evolving, stopped trying to do something completely different. I just can't listen to those bands anymore because it's the same thing over and over and over again. Not with Radiohead. It's always going to be at least an interesting listen.

...somebody had to say it. I'd say every album since OK Computer had a couple of good tracks. The idea of the band couple with those few quality jams have kept them afloat. I'm sure they put on a helluva live show, too.

Yeah, those albums were great. But the new stuff... I can't imagine finding music heavier with cerebral drudgery. There's just nothing fun or inspiring about it. And I used to try and convince myself that I like it.

I'm a big fan of The Bends & Ok Computer. I don't understand the hoopla behind their last couple of albums.

A Beginner's Guide To The British
Its all true, apart from the Square 'eads and The Round 'eads eventually decided that Radiohead-OK Computer was the greatest piece of art of all time.

He's plaing an Ondes Martenot. He plays one in songs such as How to Disappear Completely and a lot of other post OK Computer songs.

Radiohead's "Climbing up the Walls"-animated video
Best track of OK Computer!!!
=]
Radiohead - Reckoner
Personally. I think Radiohead is overrated, especially since OK Computer came out...
Reggae Cover of Radiohead's Climbing Up The Walls
Easy Star All Stars rule. they have two albums; "Radiodread" (OK Computer) and "Dub Side of the Moon" (Dark Side).
Radiohead - Scotch Mist: a film with Radiohead in it (52:31)
They're starting to get their old groove back, but still has that bad psychedelic shit.
They still need to work on the songs. I thought the vocal part lacked melodic variety. I think this is a painful repercussion from the KID A era (repeating words/melody over and over and over and over).
Still way too bland compared to The Bends / OK computer Era. I keep getting bored every time I listen to one of their new songs that's been made after OK computer.
And I can say this because I've been a Radiohead fan since middle school and bought the first 3 albums by saving up mah lunch money.
Impromptu performance of Creep by Beck.
CharimanWoo, Creep is from Pablo Honey, not OK Computer.
as if it would be on OK Computer!
i doubt radiohead will hate it, they just wouldn't want to play it over and over. plus it's kind of out of place with their more recent stuff.
as far as covers go this was the lamest attempt ever at one by someone i've heard of.
Impromptu performance of Creep by Beck.
Just for reference Radiohead really Hate that song. They made it only becuse the reccord company insitsted on a "accessible" single for OK computer, and if you ever see them perform it at one of their own gigs they will 9 times out of 10 do their best to make it awfull. (only time ive seem em do it was when the crowd kept moaning at them to play it so thom yorke just mumbled the entire song in protest). Combined with the fact that its a cover by Beck!!!!!!!!!!! makes it almost irredemable to me as a radiohead fan.
Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to flame, just trying to point out that a compilation of covers of "creep" is about as far away from a homage to radiohead as you can get without openly cussing the band.
