This was roughly 13-14 years ago. It was a 17" CRT from TigerDirect (maybe a ViewSonic? not sure), and a TigerDirect CS Rep handled my friend's call. I kinda doubt it was a common issue, but the guy on the phone was an American (or had a US accent at least), and sounded like a knowledgeable IT guy (nerd like us).

We weren't particularly impressed with the quality of parts coming from TigerDirect back then, but at least that one service call went about as well as one could hope for.

Good parabola at the start (is it parabola.. anyway...) how to describe the levels of privacy. But the point here is, we have the right to choose what is private to us and what is not. That task is not up to security departments, it is done individually. Yes, it is a security risk. No shit sherlock. So are a lot of old social rules that we have honed during the millenias, spanning from cavemen to nerd. There would be NO crime if we would have NO privacy. And still, after tens of thousands of years, we have seemed it appropriate to allow more freedoms with small disadvantage but with a tremendous improvements on personal well being. Not to mention creativity, which often demands privacy. If you knew that someone is watching every draw of line you make, the picture turns out to be average at best, not exciting, dull, predictable. Because at those private moments, we find our selves free to take creative risks. Innovate without reprimand. You take that feeling of freedom away, force people to "behave" when at their own homes and we will live in a stagnated, boring world. We have to be allowed to break away from societal norms when private. The fact is that internet is a tool too for that inner self study.. We ask it daily questions we wont ask from our spouses. It is linked to the most private form of self. And thus, it has tremendous effect on our wellbeing and society as a whole.

Thanks! I think it's a great track, but I guess it is interesting mostly for the hi-Fi nerds.

Truth is today's feminists don't even know what objectification is. Mainstream POP music literally advocates rape. It encourages and teaches millions of young boys how to con a "bitches's" trust, sleep with her under false pretenses and and then break off any future contact.

So pop/rap culture celebrating/teaching boys how to rape women isn't considered by marxist feminists as objectification but some nerd rubbing one out to a softcore hand-drawn picture of a woman is "hardcore sexism". It's no wonder most women don't take feminism seriously.

You have to understand: this is THE comic. It is extremely unlikely that any single comic book will ever be more desirable than this one. Do you have any idea how many nerd millionaires there are? I'd be surprised if in about 6 days the auction closes at under $5MM. $15MM wouldn't surprise me much.
