Geeze, the Seattle PD are usually a pretty mellow lot. I can't understand why they went so overboard in this case. There's a lot of seriously good people on the force here and I hope those people aren't judged by the actions of these two.

I totally have a bad trip if I over-consume, but all it does is make me think... too much, possibly, about what? everything... you think about reality and the world and other heavy shit, and... it all seems very big and scary. then you get cold inside and want to not feel the way you feel, but you can't. you're trapped.. temporarily.
and then you go to sleep, you wake up, and eat some food and then realize you just need to handle your business and that's all you can do. and you remember how it feels when your perception is altered yet everything is the same. it's a valuable experience and humbling (to me).

Richard tried, but he didn't manage to pidgeon-hole the Catholic church quite how he would have liked to, on the topic of evolution.

Dawkins is about 50 years too late in trying to make the church look bad in its view.

He could make a much more effective use of all his energy in questioning Catholics, by discussing their beliefs about the concept of sin, abortion, celibacy for priests, women having limited roles in the church and hang-ups about sexuality. These are issues where the Catholic church still lags behind.

When Mr. Coyne says that no tradition can claim that they have the absolute truth, I don't believe that Mr Dawkins can claim such open-mindedness. Dawkins reminds me of a child who feels he's been lied to by all the adults in his life and desperately wants to catch them out in the lie.

What he's missing, is that the great lies he thinks they are making, really don't mean a thing, in the grand scheme of things. I rekon if he meditated more, he'd mellow out and know how to hang loose with people, no matter what their philosophical persuasions might be.

(I wouldn't necessarily factor in the three previous channels, I would more look at the fact that it isn't a definable category. I will say that one badly missing category -- actually it's the crap I don't want on the sift -- but there is not eFame, vlog, YT idiots, webcam pundits. I would say his vision might almost include that, since it really is the number one usage of YT and we probably are missing out on some up and coming Entertainment2.0.

It's mostly not of sifters tastes, but there might be a market for more mellow criss crocker type videos. I suppose it falls under viral, but WTF is that. We do need more REAL channels like nouns, not concepts and less subjective categories. How about "conspiracies" might fall under the nwo, fringe stuff, but yeah looks like choggie is DOA on this channel request.

oooo, I'll have to get back to you in a bit on that. I don't even remember the stuff I liked back then (college) and I wasn't the one spinning that stuff, I was a trance guy. Our HH guy is MIA right now. I'll think a bit. Or you can just raid some of the Anabolic Frolic mixes (the later ones) from Hullabaloo mixes and such. Hullabaloo was always hysterical, and fun.
