We got Armand White up in this b*tch! Nah. But I wouldn't say that this is a tune with billions of variations. This is some seriously cool, neo-soul, funky shit right here. This isn't some prepackaged Katy Perry pop bullshit! But obviously it doesn't appeal to everyone, and I can respect that. I like the obscenity. Most songs these days are so tame - all these breathy indie tunes with the melancholy guitar and vague computery sounds and such. The footage in the video is from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie with Johnny Depp from a couple years ago (really? do you kids really know that little about the threadbare culture we have?) and one of the characters in this movie is named Veruca Salt who happens to be featured in this video prominently.
