Actually no, I know I have an Irish accent. And yes, everyone has some kind of accent, but it's a question of degrees. A Scottish accent or a deep south US accent is far more pronounced than a neutral English accent.

The point is that an accent is a deviation from standard pronunciation.

I guess that if an AI "learned" language from Die Antwoord, it would have a South African accent. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a scene where Dev Patel leaves and finds the robot has learned to speak while he was away.

Anyway, as I said... because movies.

Hugh Jackmans haircut is still stupid though

What do you consider to be no accent? The way you speak? Newsflash: you have an accent too - everyone does...

WTF is up with Hugh Jackmans weird mullet thing??
And why does the robot have a south african accent (why would a robot have ANY accent)?

Why? Because movies...

Now that's cleared up.... looking forward to this. Should be entertaining.

Airboats (used in swamps) also have Hugh Jass fans in close proximity to the human driver - that problem has already been solved.

And because they are lighter, these would need less downward thrust than a helicopter, but I agree that debris propelled by downwash could be a hazard. (but even the entire fleet of huge Chinook helicopters' downwash only caused a few minor injuries over past several decades in service.)

40 Stars Before They Were Stars Auditioning

Sycraft says...

No kidding. The audition is notable because he nailed the American accent so well that the director forgot/didn't realize that it was Hugh Laurie, but he was quite well known before that. In fact he was on location filming a movie, and he apologises as that being the reason for his haggard appearance. Another happy coincidence, as they decided such a look was great for House.

And Hugh Laurie before House. He'd become a star about 30 before.

Top 10 Worst Movie Casting Choices

Thought so too, like, how do you cast a remake of King Kong anyhoo?? Black's character in that film in particular (can't really stand him in most films) suited the director's groove and Black's level of Jack...writing totally sucked, because why? Can't recall a single LINE!!! (close to 3 grueling hours)

@playback-HAH! Portrayed himself perfectly, pulled a Matrix like Reeves

John Wayne as Genghis screams tomes of the inner-workings of the OCD God of ta-tas and aeroplanes, that film was excruciatingly surreal-Howard Hughes flicks and a sanitized hotel suite with theater seats and room service....A freak can dream, can't he?

Jack Black was interesting to watch, as he usually is, so his work in King Kong was fine by me.
