Senator Warren Destroys Wells Fargo CEO Over Cross Selling

SFOGuy says...

She must feel crazy sometimes. Almost like a movie--"Am I going crazy here? Am I the only who sees what is going on here?"

For those who don't know, she frantically tried to tell Alan Greenspan that he had to control credit access and interest rates before the collapse in 2008.

I fear she will go a little crazy at some point; that being right for so long, about something so important---will lead to mind almost cracking. I hope not.

Where the New Mad Max Movie Fits in the Mad Max Timeline

newtboy says...

There's a LOT of things ignored in his theory.
Most important to me is the ridiculous 'lone wolf=interceptor' theory. They are no where near the same thing, with no possibility of turning one into the other even if he found another totally undamaged interceptor body, which is another impossibility in the post apocalyptic wasteland, he had the LAST of the V-8 interceptors, more to scavenge from simply don't exist.

It's not the same Max, clearly. Just consider the flashbacks to his child being killed....not the same as what happened to Mel Gibson's family in the first movie at all.

The idea that Fury Road is an imaginary re-telling of a story of Max by a third party makes some sense, and would explain a lot of the inconsistencies, like the interceptor existing and Max looking 'wrong'. Really, to me, that's the only explanation for all the inconsistency issues....it's a poorly remembered, highly embellished, third party re-telling of a story about the real Max, nothing else makes any sense to me.

Vancouver - Expo 86 - Part III- GM Holographic Exhibit

ant says...

Actually, that video is good quality for a home recording! Hey, post the other parts. Good flashbacks. My folks, grandqueens, church friends, and I were there too!!

The GM pavilion was by far the most interesting thing at the fair that year...at least to a 16 year old kid (and I'm including the roller coaster). Sadly the footage isn't the best, but the quality of the projection was excellent. The show was an old native American telling stories that came to life in his campfire smoke. It wasn't until the end that he becomes smoke and you realize he wasn't an actor, but was also a projection the entire time. It was amazing, and more than a bit sad that we don't have holographic movies today, seeing as it was clearly possible 30 years ago.
I don't remember much of the rest of the fair. Lots of silly movies and miniatures, a few performances, a couple of rides, and lots of oddly depressing foods. GM definitely won my vote for best exhibit by far.

The Official Donald Trump Jam

This gives me horrible, horrible flashbacks to being in the Awanas and doing these missions to other churches with all these kids and we sang all these super America and Jesus songs in costumes in front of people. Make it stop! Mommy, can I join the girl scouts instead?

Key and Peele: Andre and Meegan's First Date

I was having Star Trek Deep Space Nine flashbacks, she sounded like the Grand Nagus. If I were on a date with her I don't think I'd be able to resist asking her to cackle maniacally while asking someone to stroke her lobes.

Norm Macdonald Gets All Choked Up On His Final Letterman

Supergirl - First Look

ant says...

Smallville is cheesy and it went way too long (a decade!).

Flashbacks were cool in Arrow, but how much can do you do with that island though? I wonder if there will be more in the future seasons.

We'll see how Supergirl go. So far, it was a meh. I will watch it though to see how it is.

CrushBug said:

I never watched Smallville.

I actually agree with you in this general area. My issue, more specifically with Arrow, is that I have found the last season to be bad. I really liked seasons 1 and 2, especially whenever they flashed back to the island. I wish they would have done more of that this season.

Flash has been really tight, in my opinion, in terms of story and characters. Iris has been annoying, though, with her Lois Lane Syndrome, but I can ignore that with all the other good stuff going on.

The first part of the this was weak, but it got stronger as it went on. The music... was wrong and I liked the re-cut video that was done, just for that.
