You infer an issue with it based off of some of your replies to people who dont have an issue with it. When you say something like, 'you like him, i dont have an issue with this video, but you're a douchebag' people will assume you are 'gunning for him' as you put it.

The point is, is this back and forth ping pong juvenile name calling, finger pointing and see-you-at-the-flagpole-after-school nonsense is about as pointless. This isn't a proverbial kool-aid drinking video. Everyone needs to just chill out and discontinue escalating this pointless 'argument' if you even want to give it that much esteem. ^blankfist:

Maybe Westy should crack open a history book. They are full of instances in which one group attacked another over its religion, flag, ethics, savagery, land, and so on.

While the person in question can fly the flag any way he wishs, the proper method is with the blue & stars to the closest part of the flagpole, and the blue facing up to the heavens. The upside down version is usually in protest to a national issue.

Sounds like this man went alittle to far, and should have contacted a lawyer to deal with a local issue, instead of making it a national issue. Likewise, those officers that took the flag, should be arrested, striped of their gun & badge and sent to jail. If the officers had approached the man, explained that flying a flag up-side down, so close and on, the 4th of July, might put him, his wife, and those local in his neighborhood in possible jeapordy, that is one thing. Even explain, that they would protect the man, as much as they could.

But, flying the stars & bars upside down, on the 4th of July, WILL, draw attention. After all, people, celebrating the country's founding, with guns, loaded with beer in their bellies, and every manner of fireworks/firearms.....is a rescipe for disaster.

Good camera work and coordination by everyone. Must've taken a lot of planning.

However it would have been better if they'd pulled it off like the Lib Dub video where everyone sort of seemed oblivious except for the current 1 singer (now I understand why they planned theirs that way). The other thing is I take exception to the title of the post because this is not a reenactment of Thriller, just a lip sync. I kept eagerly waiting to see everyone line up and start doing the zombie dance. Alas, I was disappointed.

Revamp PQs thusly: add a PQ tab at the top of the front page and kill Beggar's Canyon. Require 3 or 4 votes for a vote to enter PQ after two days in "unsifted" or else be discarded. Limit PQ to 15 or 20, and discard the surplus after the limit is reached. I think people are squeamish about discarding failed vids (myself included) because we all want credit for a good post, even if it doesn't get votes. But this thinking isn't fair to the quality of the content. If a video is truly worthy, someone else will find it, or you can run it up the flagpole again after it gets discarded; don't just let good posts sit in exile because you want the credit for the post.

No comment nesting. I've never heard a complaint about the comment system before this thread. I like to see everything, and it rarely gets out of hand (and when it does, it's usually because we WANT it to, and we'll be able to find a way to make nested commenting just as ridiculous). And KILL SIFTQUISITIONS AND HOBBLING. We used to use the world Siftquisition as a tongue-in-cheek half-insult when some member got overly sensitive. Now, we give license to whining half-wits who can't handle their own shit. "Quality" shouldn't just be about the videos, if you know what I mean.

Also, "Command/up arrow" and "Command/down arrow" are the page-up and page-down keys on a Mac. I guess having keys on a board that do more than one thing and that don't have a name so glaringly obvious it's almost insulting is only for some people.
