Touche, I shouldn't have left GWAR out, although I still haven't seem them live technically. They were rained out this summer at Riot Fest and all we got was a ton of fake blood shot out over everyone and a brief glimpse of their costumes. I think their equipment was probably damaged even, it went from dry as their set started to a torrential downpour traveling horizontal in seconds.

Kiss was a little before my time, so I haven't had the urge to go see them live, although I do enjoy their music and influence.

My list was only bands I've seen live =P

Awesome... a few older classics along with current stuff, all very imaginative. I still can't get fake blood to look right at Hallowe'en.

Of course, there's someone in the crowd with a microphone. It'd be a pretty crap show if you couldn't hear the audience member.

The mystical surgery was the least interesting part of the show, IMO. some fake blood and some slight of hand, not really that impressive.

I feel I need to share a warning about fake blood:

My friend Morgan was "the ghost" in a production of "Hamlet" and every night he would need to be covered in fake blood. Well, one night when I was giving him a ride home (because all actors are poor) he was telling me that he couldn't wait until the show's run ended because the blood was irritating his skin. I asked him if they bought their fake blood or just used the old syrup recipe and I was SHOCKED at what he told me. They made the blood themselves using a recipe the stage manager gave them. And every night for three weeks Morgan had been covering himself with it. His skin was so irritated because they were using a mix of pure liquid laundry detergent with some red food coloring. I guess the idea was that it tended to stick longer.

I don't know where the fuck they got that recipe but if you're ever considering making fake blood then take my advice: go with the syrup.

Nobody here was up in arms when code pink was storming Condoleeza Rice with fake blood on their hands disrupting hearings. That type of disturbance doesn't bother people because it's in line with their agenda. But when people protest something they agree with, well now it's time to start bashing them and claiming they aren't playing fair.

The zombie invasion happened about an hour before I bought my new laptop at this mac store (in SF). There was still fake blood smeared on the glass.

That was great. They could have used some more fake blood though. I hate it when morning news shows do this kind of thing. The whole point of the original video was to document how it easy it is to steal a bike in plain sight in NYC without anyone trying to stop them or calling the police. Having a tv camera crew there to just watch a chain being cut is a little silly. FOX got what they deserved.
