Shocking: Portal 2 Offensive to Adopted Children

God does exist. Testimony from an ex-atheist:

shinyblurry says...

Well, I am not sure how else to describe it. My third eye chakra was opened and my energy system changed to a different voltage. It was a whole body thing, it wasn't in my mind.

I don't like to tell people about this because it leads to esoteric knowledge but..I can see through my third eye with my eyes closed. Not all the time, but occassionally. It wasn't me imagining things..it was me being transformed by the power of God. My eyes were opened. The bible talks about this here:

Matthew 6:22-23

"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!"

In regards to your Christian experience..I'll tell you what I tell every other ex-Christian..

John 6:39

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.

Your problem is you didn't actually do what God told you to do. You were a kid, you didn't understand, fine..Now you're old enough to know. Are you content to lean on the reasoning of a child? You say God reveal yourself to me! What amazing arrogance. Why don't you try doing what God told you to do first? Then ask God to show you He is real.

>> ^MaxWilder:
Well, that explains a lot. You must understand that from our perspective, you've simply flipped your lid. You had a "kundalini awakening" and you think that is rational and logical? Again we are back to differences of opinion in regards to the definitions of words.
Let me tell you, in brief, that I did not abandon God. He abandoned me. I was raised Christian. I believed when I was younger. But the older I got, the more I thought about God and religion, heaven and hell, scripture and prophets... the more I realized how much it was all crap. Piece by piece, the lies that had been the foundation of my spiritual life became evident. I went from believer, to questioner, to skeptic, to atheist of the course of many years and many prayers.
But you think you can convince people? Even, hypothetically, if your experience is completely and truly God entering your life and revealing Himself, what reason could he possibly have for withholding that revelation from the rest of us?
I will say right here and now, I welcome God to reveal himself to me!
But you know what? It won't happen. Because the truth is that even if God was real, for some reason he won't simply let everybody know. He has to remain behind the curtain, condemning souls to eternal damnation for having the audacity to be curious and skeptical and logical. That's repulsive.
I'll give you the only version of spirituality that makes ANY sense. Whatever happens to us after we die, it happens to all of us the same. Either we simply cease to exist, or we are reborn, or we all ascend to some other plane of existence. Because anything else, especially the Christian view of "salvation", is so repulsively unfair that it is gonna take waaaay more than a few ancient words to convince me that a loving God could ever allow a human being to be condemned in that way. For simply failing to believe? In a world with so many lies, so much deceit, so many charlatans that just want to use our money and obedience for their own selfishness... we're supposed to sift through thousands of possible religions and pick the ONE that gives us a Get Out Of Hell Free card? It's patently absurd.
So I say again. God, if you exist, you gave me a sharp mind. You made me logical. You made me skeptical. You put me in this world full of lies. If you want my faith and love, you have some explaining to do.
The God of the Bible is an invention by frightened and ignorant savages. Every other religion has a similar origin. If God wants me to believe different, He can tell me himself. I'm all ears.

Redefining Marriage Equals Redefining Gravity

Bill Cosby is NOT HAVIN IT ! put up or shut up Donald Trump

quantumushroom says...

Liberals don't like this Dr. Cosby as much:

We Cannot Blame the White People any Longer

By Dr. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

"Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...".

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.

In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.

$500 sneakers for what?

And they won't spend $200 for "Hooked on Phonics."

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2?

Where were you when he was 12?

Where were you when he was 18, and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?

And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward. Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles (piercings) going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from?

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa.

I say this all of the time — it would be like white people saying they are European-American — that is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany, Scotland, England, Ireland, or the Netherlands.

The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa — so stop, already!

With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap...and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed.

Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' — or men or whatever you call them now.

We have millionaire football players who cannot read.

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks, have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard....

Joe Rogan on Retiring the Word "Faggot"

MaxWilder says...

@rottenseed - I think you might have the origin of the word wrong. From what I've seen, it's a centuries old insult for a woman, like "baggage". Calling her a bundle of sticks that must be carried around. But there is also the implication of heretics being burned at the stake (fire and faggot).

But wherever it came from, the fact is that everybody knows it is a derogatory word for a homosexual. When you tease a friend by calling him a faggot, you are calling him gay in a sarcastic and pejorative way. As @bmacs27 said, you are perpetuating the concept of homosexuality as a bad thing. That may not be your intention, but that's the way it is. I think the only proper use of the word is toward homophobes who are probably closet gays. For example, Ted Haggard.

@NetRunner,
A racialized society in which people get jobs because of their race instead of taking the path everybody else takes is offensive to every thinking individual. Would you rather be born with the body & mind of widely-loved Will Smith or that of funny-looking Paul Giamatti? Everybody would rather be the former, because everybody knows race is a red herring.

Humans are humans. Treat them that way, and leave 20th century thinking behind.

I don't know that "everybody" knows that. Hopefully we've gotten to a point where most people agree they should behave that way, but okay, you're preaching to the choir here.

But then, I guess you don't think you are:

That liberals advocate racist discrimination against Asian-Americans in university admissions because Asian-Americans are too good tells you all you need to know about the current state of racial politics.

Can't say I have the foggiest clue what you're talking about.

It sorta tells me all I need to know about the topics you think need to be approached scientifically. The governor of Ohio appoints an all white cabinet, and Colbert and NetRunner need to be told not to jump to any hasty conclusions.

However, something you heard about some liberals advocating something is all we need to know about the current state of racial politics...

Wow, that's fantastic! Really gives you an actual tangible, weighty(?) sense of how they moved, far removed from some silly CG abstraction. How I wish it were real.

no historically accurate! there is no Jesus riding it!

That's because he hadn't yet died for their sins and transubstantiated, at that point he was still in his velociraptor form. Everybody knows that, silly dilly!

It's amazing these things just didn't sprout wings and fly.

Dude, I know the guy who started that whole trend. He'd go loco if he heard you say that, mang. Don't sass Archaeopteryx, he will fucking cut you! (y'know, hyperextensible killing claw and all)

To get respect your should look like you deserve respect.

I know right? If a woman wears revealing clothing she is obviously a slut. Everyone should be judged entirely on thier personal appearance and I'm sure you're always immaculately turned out and not just some neckbeard who judges others via the anonymous safety of the internet.

Well she may not be a whore, but she sure as hell is wearing a whores uniform.
Like I can go around wearing a cop uniform, should I expect people to not ask me for help?
EXCUSE ME. Just because I dress this way does not mean I'm an officer of the law. (Chappelle).

For anyone who hasn't seen Chappelle's delivery
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uscmRI9ZrE

Look, clothing and how people wear it is part of culture. Yeah, it's different in different parts of the world, but whatever it is, it will always have meaning...no exceptions. The clothing you wear has an effect on others whether you want it to or not. If I choose to go to a job interview in cutoff jean shorts, that fucking means something to the interviewer. Everybody knows that.

Her comment saying those jeans are "her size" implies "there's nothing I can do about the way I look". That's bullshit. I understand people's comments about our shitty uptight puritanical culture, but this is just silly. IMO, most women know exactly what they're doing when they dress like her. They're using their good looks for power just like a tall man with a deep voice might use that to get people to listen. Can people be naive about these sorts of traits? Of course, and they shouldn't be punished for that.

All this doesn't excuse the testosterone-laden players from being idiots, but there are only two options IMO...doing it on purpose or being naive. Neither option generally garners tons of respect.

Of course, none of this addresses the fact that the "sexual harassment" stuff was probably a lot more mild and the reporting on it way overdone. However, having been in college football locker rooms (had a father who was a college football coach) ...possibly not overstated...lol

TYT: Anne Rice Leaves Christianity

Everybody knows Anne Rice is a best-selling novelist? I hadn't heard that name until about 3 minutes ago.

What a useful and constructive post, I like the part where you brag about being ignorant. Yes, most people recognize the name Anne Rice because she wrote a few vampire books including one called Interview with a Vampire... a book which was made into a movie starring a couple of little known thespians from a little town called Hollywood named Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. So yeah, most people over 20 have heard of Anne Rice.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of hers either, but what a stupid comment. "Oh somebody I've never heard of, why don't I look them up on wiki, scan the page for a couple seconds and tell everyone what opinions I've formed!!"

Yeah...they've had such a hard time of it lately.
Why, the top 5% only doubled their wealth in the last ten years.

And just look at all of the prosperity they've brought us as a result!
Because everybody knows how much the rich love creating jobs....

I didn't mean the top 5%.
