I’m so happy this was caught on camera
My dad had a friend who had a Myna parrot that learned most of its sounds from a road crew working outside his apartment, so it constantly made jackhammer, reverse beep, and diesel engine sounds it’s entire life. Gotta be careful with parrots.
111 YEAR OLD RACER RUNS LIKE NEW!
Those are cool engine sounds.
Working Miniature V8 Paper Engine
No it isn't.
It's a small paper box with paper-folded valves that make an engine sound when an exterior energy source is applied.
Great video of Ferrari F1 cars in a Dutch Shell commercial
An ad that lets the sights and sounds stand on their own. Excellent. Love all the engine sounds prior to 1:09.
Nicolas Prost sends Nick Heidfeld into a violent crash
it's not silent. It's actually louder than a regular car. But it's not a combustion engine sound obviously. It's that high pitch noise of an electric engine.
edit: by regular car, I mean a road car. not a formula 1 car.
Tie Advanced quad copter
Seriously, they couldn't just dumb over the the ion engine sound of a Tie and instead put that poncy bloody track in??
How fast can a Corvette pass you?
I would say this is merely an illusion because he is switching lanes.
I imagine there would be a distinct increase in engine sounds if he decided to hit the throttle after the corvette passed, so that he can accelerate 30-50 km/h in 3-5 seconds while already going 100-120.
Let's say this corvette was frickin fast.
Well the guy filming this is not going 150km/h when he gets passed... more like 100-120. he guns it as he passes, look how much faster he's passing the lane indicator lines at the beginning vs the end.
Ski jumping on the world's largest ski jumping hill
But then we would miss the awesome rocket engine sound.
I think it would be best to record that without sound
Go Home Crane.........You're DRUNK!!!
Looks like it was being pulled over from off screen. I thing the engine sound isn't the crane, it's whatever is pulling it. That's why they were filming, and that's why no one was in the crane, hence the reaction of the people watching. If it was in normal use with someone in it they'd be a little more concerned, and probably not filming. The wobbling is the camera shaking.
Dude in a Ferrari Runs Over Cops Foot
I don't know. I'm confused at what happened here. Was he in a valet zone?
When he goes to get in his car he looks right at the cop says something. The cop never looks up but seems to say something. He then gets in his car and turns it on. Cop ignores engine sound, cop ignores moving car.
Guy is an idiot for not just taking the ticket. Cop is an idiot for letting his foot get runover. No ticket you can issue is worth getting your foot runover.
There are tools who drive Ferraris and tools who have a beat up Ford Taurus etc...
All that said traffic cops are jerks out on a mission to drum up revenue. I've rarely been the victim (crazy vigilant about it) but see all kinds of people get tickets in Chicago (or towed) that are VERY bad calls by the cops.
"Airplane" Trailer Makes It Look Like A Serious Movie.
Substituting actual jet engine sounds helps emmensely.
Drive - Climactic Car Chase
I love the way an engine sounds.
Building A Miniature V-12 Engine From Scratch.
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Wow - that's got an amazing sound for such a small engine. Sound like mini Lamborghini.>> ^Boise_Lib:
This one's air cooled.
>> ^dag:
Cool stuff. Thanks for that.
>> ^BoneRemake:
@dag
Air cooled engines work fine because they have that massive flow of air around the cylinders, some day I will own one like this.
Dalek at Burning Man
>> ^critical_d:
Call it false bravado, but anything that threatens my existence with a plunger does not rank high on my "things that keep me up at night" list.
>> ^spoco2:
You know, I think the Daleks would have been far less threatening if they had made that lawn-mower engine sound as they moved.
"Exterminate, Exterminate"
rattle rattle rattle rattle rattle
I dunno man, depends where and what they do with that plunger.
