Bill Burr Teaches Elijah Wood How To Kill

bremnet says...

"This stuff just does not happen"

Wake up. Spend 2 minutes looking for reports by the Toronto Star, CBC and the Globe and Mail and you'll realize it does. An issue in Canada is that if you wish to protect yourself, and use a gun, chances are better that the victim will suffer the wrath of Canadian justice.

It happens in Canada dude. Take a look around.

Woman kicked off plane for singing Whitney Houston song.

Absurdity. So she was drunk and unruly and they land a plane to get her off.

Why not just let the attendants have tasers to "quiet" the problem passengers, and a roll of duct tape and some rope for them to wake up wearing?

No cell-phone pictures on an American Airlines commercial flight? Probably some bullshit rule associated with 911, the biggest clusterfuck of a coop of all time.

SO the set-up for this one take was

1 Col. George Taylor POA Heston doll (Snapped on E-Bay when Heston died, new -in-box)
1-paper cut-out Statue of Liberty lower, left frame)
2-Estes D rockets, duct-taped to back
1-scavenged fuse from leftover Chinese sky-candy
1-Micro-cassette recording of National Anthem (Foley)
1 FUJI Finepix F1000

The tree-bounce-around is off-camera....only one recording of that so here it is: As soon as he leaves frame he's in the tree and barley freed himself of the tangled bounce in the top before ditching in the pond at full throttle-Had he made air he had about 40 feet up inna swirl before thrust would have pooped-out.

...done this before so any way it could have gone might have-

What most schools don't teach

yellowc says...

I might get lost in the storm here but this is a bit too evangelical.

I appreciate they're trying to drum up support but when you go from this, to the mundanity of bugs, testing etc, the allure will wear off very quickly for those not actually interested in the field.

The step from those plug and play applications to introduce programming is vastly different in "fun" if you will, than actual programming. While it helps to reduce the dog moving to "moveLeft()" as a conceptualisation, the insides of the moveLeft() are deeply involved.

This may seem like a necessary skill for all people but it really isn't. This is the wrong way of looking at, the right way is for programmers now to better understand the needs of the public and provide software that reflects those needs in an approachable way.

There is divide between programmer logic and human logic and I feel resources are better spent teaching people not how to code but to have a level of understanding in the subject simply to communicate their ideas better to programmers.

That to me seems more productive than a slew of amateur work ducted tape together. What we need is abstract software that lets people do whatever they want, easily, simply and without repetition of 10million people solving the same problem for themselves simply to learn programming.

Time is better spent solving the issue of females entering Computer Science type degrees, it is still ridiculously out of a whack and if you solve that, there's your new work force.

Drunk Icelandair passengers being taped to seat

mintbbb says...

YT description continues:

'Arthorsson, who is a civil engineer who works in Trinidad and Tobago had visited his family in the Icelandic capital but was returning home to be with his fiancée on the Caribbean island.
After police removed him from the flight he was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was treated for alcohol poisoning and luckily for him, Federal authorities declined to prosecute the case.
It was while aboard the New York-bound flight that Arthorsson was duct-taped to his seat by fellow passengers after attacking one woman, spitting on other passengers and screaming the plane was going to crash.
A friend of one of the observing passengers, Andy Ellwood of New York, posted a picture of the subdued flyer to his Tumblr with an account of the incident.
The 'passenger drank all of his duty free liquor on the flight from Iceland to JFK yesterday,' Ellwood wrote.'

How to Unlock your Car in 10 Seconds

skinnydaddy1 says...

It does not matter. I stopped locking the doors on the car a few years back and they still break in. I keep nothing in it and have even stopped bolting the stock radios in it. Break ins - 23, Keyed - 4, egged - 5, radios stolen - 9. Wheels stolen - 6, Hit by others 7, Hit by thrown objects - 9, Tail lights broken 3.
Police could not figure out why the car kept being targeted and it was not until a few people had been caught that we found out why.

reasons
1. Make and model of car - 98 Honda Civic hx
It seems a large number of people have a massive hatred of Japanese cars or ricers as they like to call them.
Car is not modified in anyway other than after market tail lights. They were 30 bucks and far far cheaper than stock after someone broke the others. Bought the car after a soccer mom parked her SUV on my mustang and I wanted a car with much better MPG and the HX got 39 hwy.

2. Street I live on.
It is the only strait cut through from one road to another so people cutting through see the car all the time. "Oh look we can do something and be miles away before the owners get outside"

Its gone from being a nice little car. To a something being held together with duct tape and with my current job situation means I'm stuck with it for awhile to come.

so what this and other videos have taught me.

1. don't bother locking your car doors.
2. don't leave anything you like inside your car.
3. pray that no one uses your car as a restroom.
