Couch gliding

The Walk.

newtboy says...

Just like when you see a 4.3 degree slope and say "oh, it's a full 11 degrees, so steep" it adds nothing to your argument of the facts and makes you sound Trumpian, willing to just make up obviously incorrect numbers for no good reason. Where did you get 11 degrees anyway? OAN?
3 is much closer to correct than 11.

It was only a steep ramp for an elderly decrepit obese couch potato, not a healthy adult. I guess you didn't watch the comparison you asked for, Trump struggling his way UP the ramp.
For comparison, the ramp I built for my invalid dog is 2' rise over a 6' run, which makes an 18 degree incline. She was paralysed from the waist back and has no trouble. Even my elderly, obese, out of shape, and sickly mother in law goes up and down it with far less trouble than Trump had on this 4.3 degree ramp.

There's never been a reason to focus on a president going down a ramp and has never been one in my lifetime that had this kind of trouble, but guaranteed if Hillary had gone up or down any ramp like that during her campaign Republicans would have spent months insisting she's on her death bed.

It's funny. Perhaps you just have no sense of humor on this topic?

Yes, jokes are "supposed" to be funny. If you show a video of an 11 degree ramp and say "oh its only 3 degrees" it adds nothing to your suggested punchline of the joke. In fact it detracts from it (i.e. if it is only 3 degrees then Biden running up it is meaningless).

Trump was factually correct. It was a steep ramp. There is just no way out of that. It doesn't mean he didn't look like a baby learning to walk as he walked down it, but it was still steep.

The punchline (if it were a joke, and it's not) would be Joe Biden running down the ramp. Not up. Unfortunately, for some reason, never before has the media foccused on a president walking down a ramp and it been a topic of conversation (because really, it is fucking inane). But if you hunt enough, you can find a video of Obama striding down the back ramp.

A basic requirement for being funny is... being funny. Which this video is not. But each to their own I guess.

Titties are not Pockets

I remember waaayy back in the 50's, my mother sitting on the couch and picking me up to dress me. She had me stand on her lap so she could put my shirt on. As I was facing her I noticed her cleavage from a point of view that I had never noticed before.

I remember taking my finger and poked it in her cleavage and asked her "What's this hole for?"

She lightly slapped my hand away and simply said, "Not for you."

Edit: Thanks Eric for the link that addressed my questions/concerns.

Imo, rail guns and gravity couches are far more feasible and that technology does exist today. I hope we develop something before the Kessler syndrome (when space junk in orbit is so prevalent it's impossible to avoid and constantly increasing, like in "Gravity") makes orbiting or leaving earth impossible. That day is approaching quickly.

How This Cyclist Hit 184MPH and Set the World Record

BSR says...

I think we both know that doubling the previous record would be impossible under the conditions the pros compete in. Plus the pros make their record on indoor tracks if I'm not mistaken.

I made my trip on the east coast as I wanted stay closer to home if something unexpected happened.

This map shows my round trip route from Cape Canaveral to High Point NC and back. The blue was created with my GPS tracker which caused some lost data due to battery drain and poor signal. I flipped the image so the text was easier to read.

I met a lot of nice people. If you like to travel you might like this sight.

I was able to stay with people who invited me into their homes on 5 different occasions and never actually had to sleep on a couch.

EDIT: Someone else brought up the possible invasive species point so I'm on the fence with that. I don't want to be blamed for the next BIG earthquake that gives birth to the new Godzilla. Although, it's California. He could probably get a SAG card.

that speed would have more than doubled the previous record and that would be amazing.

Nice trip. 2500 miles is a good chunk of the distance coast to coast (depending on the route). Where did you ride to/from?

I'm intrigued by the sand swap idea, but also concerned about the introduction of invasive species that may be living in that sand. Just a thought if you make the trip.

ENOUGH

BSR says...

C'mon siftbot! Did you really give it your all? How hard can it be to find a stinkin' thumbnail?

You been drinkin' again?

Don't worry about it. I wouldn't want you to have to get up off that couch and work your servos a little.

I crafted my own thumbnail the good old fashioned way. HARD WORK!

God forbid, I ask you to process and push a few data bits around.

I've had ENOUGH!

McCain defending Obama 2008

newtboy says...

Normally I would ask you to refrain from personal attacks, even those couched as opinion........

....... but imo Bob really went trolling hard, begging for attacks this time. Personally I have a real hard time asking people to remain civil and restrained in the face of such a disgustingly provocative zealator* who's being disrespectfully vile to a recently deceased, not yet buried American hero (one I rarely agreed with but almost always respected).

That said, it's better if we don't dig holes to get down to his level of discourse and thinking.

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

*a zealous defender or supporter, one who zealously furthers the cause...

Which sometimes makes me forget that you're actually a piece of shit at your very core. Go fuck yourself, Bob.

Just my opinion.
