Florida DUI suspect arrested after threatening deputies PT1

newtboy says...

Almost 3 hours in total!?! Not without LOTR level effects, thanks.
He couldn’t be out of control enough to maintain my interest that long, even at double speed.
Edit: OK, part 2 is just the other cop’s body cam, so little new besides the car ride. Still, way too long to watch his brand of crazy…he’s just not inventive or interesting enough….he just wants to fuck everyone in the ass then kill them…try some variety buddy.
There’s no condensed version, or time stamp list of when the action is @BSR? I skipped through at 2x speed and still feel like I watched too much.
I do like that he got a separate charge of harassing a police K9 for threatening to fuck the dog in the ass.
Those cops were amazingly professional all things considered.
Follow-up court videos needed. They’ll be fun.

Side note- the biggest crime was the quality of his weed…now living in the sticky icky capital of the world, Humboldt County, I forget that so many risk so much to smoke the shittiest brick weed. It’s so sad. I was one of them once.

Science: Toddler Internally Decapitated is Healed

I saw a documentary about a similar thing in a 11 or 12 year old boy, hit by a car riding his bike. A year on, he had recovered remarkably well. I figured this would result in a guaranteed quadriplegia, but he could walk and run and use his hands (he could write) and it was pretty amazing. I figure this kid will do better because he's at the age where you're learning to do that stuff from scratch anyways.

Car disintegrates.

I would say that this is educational in the sense that it really shows just how quickly a car ride can turn into a disaster in winter. This really reinforces the fact that safe winter driving habits are a must. Thanks for the post.

Stoned Kitty

I had a cat that I took on a car ride once because he was so cool. The car ride over stimulated him and he had seizure. He pissed and shit all over my passenger's side floor. Turns out he was epileptic >> ^Fletch:

The only time (and last time) I took a cat somewhere in my car without a carrier, he disappeared. He seemed a little stressed about the ride, so I figured he was under the seat or something, until the lady behind me honked her horn. I looked in my rearview mirror and my cat was taking a shit on the rear deck right between the speakers.
Use a carrier.

WORLD'S FASTEST: The fastest car crash test ever (?)

EMPIRE says...

I don't think my car even reaches 120mph, and if it does, I certainly wouldn't feel safe driving it at that speed. I already had a car ride with a "friend" a few years ago, and he took it up to 155mph in a BMW he owned. Never again.

Unlock Plastic Handcuffs! Police Style!

rottenseed says...

I've been in cuffs several times, but one particular time I was hammered and under the influence of other fun recreational substances and I was picked up for drunk in public. The officer placed my hands in cuffs (I think it was these ziptie ones. While on the ride to the drunk tank, I managed to get my hands from my back to my front. The officer was not pleased when she pulled me out of the car and realized what I had done. She was pretty nice and I was making her laugh on the car ride so she didn't do anything about it, she just warned me that I shouldn't do that unless I wanted a mouthful of taser the next time around.

Moral of the story, be a pleasant perpetrator and you can get away with more...

THIS particular build wasn't in development for 12 years - more like 3.

Also see this recent ShackNews post for more details: couple galleries worth of Screenshots, Plot Details, Level Descriptions and Models.

Seriously. Tiny Duke in an RC car, monster trucks, mine car rides, and the plot reads: "AFTER BEATING HIS OWN VIDEO GAME AND HAVING SEX WITH THE WHOLESOME TWINS (...)" It's a fucking tragedy it was canned at this point.

Jesse Ventura weighs in on Gay Marriage

/\ From the same logic that brought you;

Inmate - opposite of mate; enemy.
Extractor - used to be a tractor.
Extractor fan - used to like tractors.
Tenants - one less than 11 ants.
and
Auto-Fellatio - a very enjoyable car ride.

Choggie's English Dictionary, not for everyone!

I'd just like to further mention 2 friends of mine (gay) really want to travel the world. They definitely want to go around america a bit (they like kerouac). They can't go because of the way people are in certain areas of america. "Especially the south" they tell me. One, with her ex, has been all but pelted by rotten tomatos for holding hands in some states.

Can't even front though - england is a smaller country and so the 'backwards' areas are easier to miss. In Dublin apparently, they had to act like 2 friends on a year out or something.

Everyone's kinda like this, but at least in some countries it doesn't go hand in hand with politics.

The Zombies - Time of the Season

silvercord says...

This is from Wikipedia:

"Time of the Season" is a song by The Zombies, featured on the 1968 album Odessey and Oracle. The song was written by keyboard player Rod Argent and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in August 1967. Its breakthrough, however, did not occur before 1969, after the band had split up.

The song's characteristics include the unique voice of lead singer Colin Blunstone, the memorable bass riff, and Rod Argent's fast-paced psychedelic improvisation. The lyrics are an archetypical depiction of the emotions surrounding the Summer of Love. It is famous for its call-and-response verses "What's your name? (What's your name?)/Who's your daddy? (Who's your daddy?)/(Is he rich?) Is he rich like me?".

Pop culture occurrences

* The song is the source of the widespread provocative use of the phrase "Who's your daddy?", as popularized in the late 1980's and early 90's by syndicated radio shock jock "The Greaseman".
* This song was played in the background in an episode of The Simpsons, more specifically episode AABF02 ("D'oh-in In the Wind") in which Homer briefly becomes a hippie.
* Also used in the Friends episode "The One With the Flashback". The song plays in a dream sequence where Rachel fantasises about Chandler.
* It was also featured in the Thomas Vinterberg movie Dear Wendy from 2005.
* The song is played during a car ride scene in the 1990 film Awakenings starring Robert De Niro and Robin Williams. The song is also featured on the film's soundtrack.
* It featured in one scene of Shanghai Knights.
* It featured in one scene of NBC's miniseries "The '60's" (1999), albeit anachronistically, in a scene dated to late 1965.
* In 2006, C&C used the song in an ad campaign for Bulmers Original Cider.
* In Sprite's 2006 Sublymonal advertising campaign, a chorus of flowers with human faces perform an a capella version of the song's opening.
* During the 2006 playoffs, the New York Mets played it in Shea Stadium as the team took the field.

Cover versions

* On the 2005 Summer Tour, Dave Matthews Band included the song on their setlist. This version was consequently released on the CD and DVD Weekend on the Rocks in 2005.
* Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me - 8. Time of the Season - Big Blue Missile with Scott Weiland.
