Origami is from Blade Runner, car too I think.
Quark was a bar tender on Star Trek : Deep Space 9
Also pretty sure the lab techs have Dharma Initiative patches from Lost

I really think you should look at the OTHER Battlestar...
Cylons!
Bears At The Beach
bears, beach, battlestar galactica
Jet powered flying motorcycle from the film MegaForce (1982)
Fun Fact: This scene was a rip off of Battlestar Galactica.

Galactica 1980 that is, the TRUE second version. The episodes that put the BS back into BSG.
Martin Freeman in New Series 'Fargo'
I'm not sure. Fargo is a great film, one of my favourites, but it's old now and it's hardly a great big cash-cow franchise, so it seems like more of a gamble than a safe-bet. I mean, I'll bet the mainstream audience don't remember the film at all, let alone fondly enough to make a series a sure-fire winner. I hope the writers have a good story up their sleeves.
"Pop culture on the skids", if you want to put it that way, is better exemplified by another reboot of Battlestar Galactica (happening) or a series based on C-tier characters from the Marvel Universe (Agents of Shield) or the new Spider-Man film series. Or a Nirvana/Kurt Cobain musical (also on the cards). Compared to all that crap, a Fargo series sounds brand-new.
A series as a nod to Fargo screams rehash of pop-culture on the fucking skids and a reason to spend your cable money on learning to plasma-weld or something.....
X: Rebirth second trailer
Ship in the thumbnail and at :29 doesn't look anything like a Battlestar. No.
Fracking Explained
Interesting. I took the final statement to mean "the total amount of damage is unforeseeable"
Also, after watching a lot of Battlestar Galactica lately, this video is almost a non-stop laugh factory.
A little natural gas humor
Make me, motherfracker!
All these frackings remind me of Battlestar Galactica! Fracking Cylons!
Go frack your gas hole!
splice-splicing human dna leads to terrible things
It always makes me furious when people in movies act like idiots. Same thing happened in Prometheus, which had a great premise and could have been really good, but was ruined by everyone being idiots and nothing making any god damn sense.
Here's she's equating Dren with a child, notably her own child, which she could never conceive. Dren is a human/scorpion/more animals mix that have an entirely different perception of the world than she does - if she was any form of smart, she would have recognized this and not given her a freaking cat. Would you give a gorilla a cat as a pet? No you wouldn't!
The idea for this film was great and I thought it was actually quite well done. The scientists are naive and bold, but flawed people and Dren is a weird foster child to them.I thought the last part was a bit much, but it didn't entirely ruin the movie for me.
For a great example of a movie that shows great promise and really is very good, but then completely cocks up the very ending, see White Noise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Noise_(film) or Battlestar Galactica http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica_(2004_TV_series) both of which just shit the bed with the endings.
"Game of Hearts" - Game of Thrones Sansa & Tyrion Rom-Com
Ha! <show x> reinterpreted as <genre y>!!?
That's clearly never been done before.
Ever.
edit: still upvoting because it was quite well executed!
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Adama's Viper Maneuver
>> ^VoodooV:
holy shit. the show found a home or are they just finally airing what they DID make?
They are airing the pilot they already produced as a webseries, split into several short webisodes, over the course of several months. Afterwards, the complete pilot is supposed to be aired as a special on Syfy. As far as I know, the show was already canceled.
