uhm, I just wanted to post a cool video of a station wagon (admittedly, an Audi RS6, yes, I have gearhead lust) zipping by a motorcycle already going at insane rates of speed.

Back in 2009, I saw the model of a vehicle with "full connectivity" during a presentation by an R&D bloke from Audi. Not a model of the car itself, but of the control software. It included a downlink to provide remote access for maintenance, troubleshooting and, most importantly, the reception of position and movement vectors for vehicles in your proximity "to improve safety and traffic flow".

That was before all the fucked up multimedia/social networking bonanza in cars went into high gear, providing an even easier access to the cars systems...

I don't even know what the advertising rules are here in the Netherlands, but it really jumps out at me that the competitor is so explicitly mentioned (in the Dutch commercial Nimoy would drive an undetermined eastern europe car I would guess).
There it is at second 37, the 'CLS 550 Mercedes sucks compared to our Audi'. (I know nothing about cars, but from what I know about commercials I'm going to ahead and assume that that's actually incorrect)

What was the deal with the Stanford Audi at the end?
I don't get it.
