Why is there any difference between public and private sector unions? In both cases they exist because people have a basic human right to assemble and negotiate contracts. Are public servants somehow not human in your mind? Don't they have families to support too?

The Auto industry is a bit broad, Ford is doing great with unions still in place, and without any government loans. GM took a government loan, and is now doing fine with unions still in place. Chrysler's problems were that they kept making ugly, sucky cars, even when they were merged with Mercedes. Hopefully now that they've merged with FIAT, we'll see an improvement in the quality of their designs.

The Steel Industry I know a lot less about, but the main thing that killed them there was bad trade agreements. It's tough for a country that believes in worker safety and humane treatment of workers to compete with countries that don't really shy away from using slave labor to do labor-intensive high-risk work.

The Airline Industry is in trouble because oil is already fucking expensive, and will continue to get more so. We're likely to soon find ourselves in a world where only millionaires will be able to pay the ticket prices that would make air travel profitable for an airline.

But at the most fundamental level, I don't get your motivations here. Why do you see unions as being some sort of unmitigated evil, while lining the pockets of millionaires and billionaires as some sort of ultimate good?

I agree. I didn't post this vid because I liked what she did. I posted it because I thought it sucked eggs large that a bunch of white people were offended by her "blacking" it up.

It offends me that they would complain.

The appeal of the Wiley Coyote shorts is the desire to actually see him NAIL that smarmy little blue git. If he actually ever accomplished this objective, the appeal would rapidly dissappate. So the whole Wiley/Roadrunner dynamic is one gigantic $%&@tease, essentially. We watch hoping he will succeed, yet knowing that he never will.

This was a short short, but one of the few worthy Loony Toon entries in the last 20+ years. "Space Jam" sucked so hard that it created a singularity. "Back in Action" was only slightly less sucky. It's long overdue for the Toons to get back to their roots, and this nails it.

Note to the WB. Stop trying to make feature-length & 30 minute shows out of characters & concepts that are built for 4-10 minute comedy blitzes. It doesn't work. It never will.

No. I used it though and I just find it uncomfortable, I can see why Jobs put it on his lap its impossible to hold this thing the whole time. Typing by pecking is really annoying, it would have been nice if they made two areas for game pad like text input. Everything else works like an iPhone, bar the iPhone specific apps nothing was really impressive and going online with its lack of flash is kinda sucky. It all looks shiny of course but a huge fingerprint magnet. Still have no idea what's it's use exactly.

Still waiting for the announcement of iPadEX.

You need 2 power points to self promote I'm afraid and the tag is simply *promote for that. You can get a second power point in a few ways:
i) write a comment that gets upvoted 15 or more times
ii) get a video into the top 15
iii) get a *quality on a sift talk post
iv) buy them

I thought "That Girl with the Rack" was a hilarious title, and I still do, because OBVIOUSLY she has a bunch to offer in the video, so it was a bit of a self-deprecation making the title. And the title WORKED, people saw the video, which is the point of any title. People seem to infer that I am a horrible person, disrespectful to women and what not, and I don't like people being aggressive at me for a stupid title. In this response you are unduly aggressive too and there's really no need for it. You say I'm the one throwing a temper tantrum - well, let's both cool down a little here.

This is why I responded poorly to you, to not take it out of context:

Denial is something I've been accused of before, so I'm a little sensitive about it, because it is just not true. I know exactly what the title is and I chose it for a reason, not to disrespect women, not to be demeaning, but to make a damn joke.

I'd argue about the navi being too perfect. Did no one else notice the broken hearted warrior who was cast aside by the chick cos she got to mother some hot foreigner? That seemed pretty sucky to me and I was acutely aware of the hypocrisy of the girl's virtue throughout the movie. (Spot the dude who's been fucked over in the past...) You also had their ignorance of the human culture (i.e. not wanting to know) which seemed a bit rich.

The marines... they were there for the money, not the murder. I figured every man there must have had a pretty crappy back story to need to spend however long in cryogenic sleep to come to a foreign planet with a high fatality rate knowing that when they got home everyone would be 20 years older. There were doing a job with a hope of a better life at the end.

I also thought that the greed of the higher positioned people made sense, at least from today's perspective. 1-dimensional people do exist and non-human entities like corporations will employ 1-dimensional people to suit their aims.

Maybe I just made up my own themes to make the movie more enjoyable for myself but I thought Pocahontas 3d was great - that's just my 2 cents.
