"Miracle Workers"- a great poem about teachin by Taylor Mali
I'm familiar with the precedent, and I think it stinks. Why should we have the same content posted multiple times? I am deeply moved by Mali's poetry, and I've even posted some of his performances myself. But there's no difference in these two performances, except that they were done on different days in different places (with only a slightly different hairdo). I understand the desire to repost for more exposure (and hell, why not a starpoint, too?), but I don't think it's in the spirit of *quality controlled content to do so.

Thanks for letting us know. I will leave this up to the sift, but I think a precedent has been set several times on this kind of thing, and the conclusion seems always to be that to be a dupe, a video usually has to be the same on many levels. But this one is actually a different performance.
That said, I would not have posted it had I known the other existed.

Not the same video, but there's no difference in content. I'd say it's a dupe.

QI - Learning For The Sake Of Learning
"my students always say to me 'mr mali, are we gonna be responsible for this?' and i say 'if not you, then who? you think my generation cares? we're the ones that got you into this mess! it's up to you to get us out! you are our only hope!' and then they say 'no, i mean are we gonna be tested?' and i say 'every day of your lives'".
-taylor mali, poet and 8th grade teacher.
