Meh, I still prefer the way i've been making my own taters.

Peel and quarter them before boiling. Once done, put em through a potato ricer, and then add in butter and garlic powder and blend them with a mixer.

May seem like overkill, but I've gotta say, mashed potatoes are probably my favourite food, and I really hate them when they're lumpy.

Winter tires are available, but I don't think any state requires you to have them.

The problem in Seattle is 1) the people aren't used to snow, 2) it's usually a later of ice covered in a later of wet snow, and 3) it's damn hilly. It doesn't snow often so there's no real incentive to buy winter tires.

I know in Quebec all vehicles (? might be all passenger cars) are required to have them on for the winter months. I live in Manitoba, and while they don't require you to have winter tires, most people get them because otherwise the all season rubber freezes and your tires go lumpy.

Certainly you want to sell yourself but it's pretty pointless to lie about your physical appearance and then post a photo. Besides, there's plenty of guys who like big girls and none of them will be able to find you if you're lying about it.

It's not just whether the material is recyclable or not, but the quantity of the material:
1) Most containers are not recycled.
2) Most goods made with recycled plastic Must contain some quantity of New plastic, because the material degrades during the process. Ever wonder why when you buy something made from recycled plastic it says, "made from XX% recycled material"?
3) It takes a lot of energy to recycle. Both in processing the material and in transport.

Now, the fact the us Yanks aren't using UHT milk, that really pisses me off! Milk doesn't have to go bad people! At least not on the time frame it would take to go through a liter of it. Running to the #@(*Y$(* grocery store at 4:36 AM because you don't feel like pouring lumpy milk on your Cinnamon Toast Crunch.. that just sucks. Not to mention the environmental harm that comes from energy wasted through refrigeration, and the ridiculous overproduction of milk due to spoilage.

so now I know why when I cube up my potatoes and boil the heck out of them and think they're surely done then mash them and add the butter, milk & seasonings...taste test to find little lumps so I assume they weren't quite done so I microwave the whole thing for ten minutes then find they're still lumpy so I put them in the food processor for five minutes...
...they're always runny/sticky.
Thanks for this video, I think I'll be brave and try it again this way. (I had been banned from ever trying again and limited to the potato flakes from the store...I'll show 'em!)
