What Chinese Women Want

Reefie says...

Interesting perspectives. Slight deviation of topic - I don't get why most of these people had subtitles since they were speaking English. There was a lass at 3m20s who wasn't speaking English, other than her everyone else spoke decent enough English to be understood.

My daughter does a really great impression of Joby's owner, considering she's a 13 year old English lass, but my god it's getting old. Both of my kids quote parts of that video at least once a day, it seems there is always room for, "whatcha doin' dawg?" or "that's the nastiest thaaaang". They even sing the autotuned version, which drives me up the wall! But it's still hilarious and this is brilliant and deserves a *promote

Just because you CAN, it doesn't mean you SHOULD

Reefie says...

Lass, truth is that if they're assholes online, they're most likely assholes offline. It's just offline they hold their tongue because they know the consequences can catch up with them. I find the internet is great for seeing someone's true colours. Sage advice though, just because someone has the ability to be a twat, doesn't mean they have to prove it.

The Backwater Gospel

gwiz665 says...

Bachelor film project 2011 from The Animation Workshop.

As long as anyone can remember, the coming of The Undertaker has meant the coming of death. Until one day the grim promise fails and tension builds as the God fearing townsfolk of Backwater wait for someone to die

DiCaprio's Oscar Quest -- J. Edgar Parody

GeeSussFreeK says...

>> ^Quboid:

DiCaprio was in Ellen?
He's so handsome, he can even turn the lesbians. Give this man an Oscar now, or we will all suffer his wrath!

Egads, if he can turn the lasses from chasing lasses, what hope do us chums stand! Guard your corn holes!

Disneyland Surprise

lucky760 says...

Sweet and she seems like an appreciative lass, but potentially threatened by being *spoiled rotten, IMHO.

I've vowed never to take my child to Disneyland or indoctrinate him into the cult of Disney until he's well past his formative years. But that's just me.

Big Ten Runner Heather Dorniden Falls And . . .

great running, I have vivid memories of an Olympic event - 10km track I think, and a Kenyan runner tripped over and lost like 50m to the pack - he literally went nuts and within a lap had sprinted to the front of the pack again - adrenaline ftw.
Lasse Virén also pulled off something very similar in the 10k @ 1972 Olympics.

That's a 10k...that makes sense you have a LOT of time and you can make it up if you put in an incredible performance. 600 meters is not very far, so making up the distance in that short amount of space and time you have is ridiculous. The only excuse is that they're not really at the top of their game...they rabbited themselves out at the beginning or something.

Insanely close to ground/people basejump

BicycleRepairMan says...

>> ^rich_magnet:

Freeze-frame it. First jumper clears by about 1m. The shadows match the background and the curvature of the ground. CSI the heck out of it: I think it's real and these guys are nutbars. I thought fake at first, and maybe it is. A good fake if so.

This is legit. Jokke Sommer is a well known wingsuit jumper http://jokkesommer.com/ This is from a Norwegian TV show, called Oppdrag Sognefjorden, about extreme sports, it might be region blocked, but you can watch it here: http://www.nrk.no/programmer/sider/oppdrag_sognefjorden/

I havent seen the show, but i recognize at least one of the guys sitting there, the one with the grey sweater is Lasse Kjus, an ex-alpine rider
