Mitch Hedberg's Lucid Insight Into the Feline Afterlife
Mitch Hedberg is so freakishly awesome that my brain gets all tangled up like a funny ball of yarn.
World's Most Offensive Joke
An excellent examination of how status is used in comedy. Whether it be racism, or jokes towards "retards", pedophilia, etc., by downgrading one set, you achieve an implied status in the other. This can also work if it is self-deprecating; look at the works of John Pinette.
My personal favorite type of comedy though is what I call "intellectual comedy," comedy that requires the audience to participate by thinking, and making the bridge to getting the joke. A good example would be Steven Wright or Mitch Hedberg.
Dana Gould on Panhandling, Scotland, and the Devil
Well doogle, I don't think I can argue with your point "a", as you clearly are interpreting the comedy act as a serious lecture on our socio-economic status. That's fine. Even though I quite literally agree with your point, I can find humor in the situation, too, and freely laugh at it.
As for point "b", the video is just over five minutes. As for it being siftable because of "multiple topics", man, I've seen full acts on here. Even when you break down a comedian's act, there's bound to be two, three, four, or five subjects covered in a just a few minutes time frame. That's how comedians work.
If you used that standard for siftable material then you can pretty much throw out ALL of Mitch Hedberg's vids here.
The Death of an Icon - George Carlin 1937 - 2008 (Standup Talk Post)
A great, great comedian.
He has ceased to be, bereft of life, he rests in peace, he has kicked the bucket, hopped the twig, bit the dust, snuffed it, breathed his last, and gone to meet the Great Head of Light Entertainment in the sky, and I guess that we're all thinking how sad it is that a man of such talent, such capability and kindness, of such intelligence should now be so suddenly spirited away at the age of seventy-one, before he'd achieved many of the things of which he was capable, and before he'd had enough fun.
(Completely stolen from http://www.geocities.com/fang_club/chapman_memorial.html, but applicable here as well)
He will be missed, like Mitch Hedberg and Bill Hicks.

Mitch Hedberg on Late Night
>> ^TheEvilComputerNerd:
Why was he shaking so bad? I remember seeing him on Comedy Central, and his timing was excellent, but he messes up a joke here.
Well apparently he had quite a bit of stage fright.
Mitch Hedburg - Random thoughts
In my not-so-humble opinion, Mitch Hedberg beats the shizzle out of Dimitri, but they are both great though.
Mitch Hedburg - Random thoughts
Ohoh. I think this is a dupe of this (http://www.videosift.com/video/Mitch-Hedberg-Just-For-Laughs-On-The-Edge-02) video.
Mitch Hedberg - Smacky the Frog
Indeed. Mitch has almost Bill Hicks greatness, but in a different way. Incidentally, I challenge anyone to find a female version of Mitch Hedberg.
Demetri Martin Standup on Rove
I can easily picture Mitch Hedberg delivering many of those jokes.

his style was very refreshing compared to a lot of what I was seeing. Anytime i see that one of his specials is going to be on I always make sure to watch it. Very unfortunate he went, as he was truly a great comedian.

Mitch Hedberg: The buoyancy of Citrus
Love Hedberg. Why are the greatest ones, the ones that leave us so soon?
