I have low blood pressure, which at times makes me light-headed, but if I eat a little extra salt, my blood volume increases and everything is cool. So salt isn't "healthy" or "unhealthy". All depends on what your body's needs are. Same with sugar... if your body NEEDS sugar (I.E. after a workout to give a little insulin spike to help absorb protein) then it's healthy, if your body DOESN'T NEED sugar, (I.E. you've been sitting in bed all day playing WOW and want to get a mountain dew) then it will be unhealthy.

I used to drink Mountain Dew all the time, but then I stopped drinking sodas.

Well, it was either that or Mountain Dew to get rid of the Khlav Kalash taste out of his mouth.

It would only be fair to have a control rat submerged in water for that time. The rat gut and skin are full of bacteria which would aid decompositon.

Any carbonated drink has carbonic acid from the dissolved CO2 as well as the citric acid in drinks such as mountain dew. Funny enough bones/enamel are more susceptible to breakdown (by demineralisation from acid) that some of the soft tissue which leaves just stringy collagen portion of the bone which is also what the tail is made of.

So interesting that I cannot help but hold the breath in my nose so as not to smell what I imagine the stink to be of that gelatinous mess.

Now is that the same result you could expect from a dead mouse just being in liquid and not specifically Mtn. Dew? I imagine that'd be the case.

Nonetheless, the actual concept seems pretty fun.

It's not the learning the "proper way" to appreciate whiskey at its best that's the problem, but the snobbery and scorn poured upon people who like to drink it in ways that the self-appointed cognoscenti don't approve of. It's my single malt, I'll serve it over ice or with too much water or mix it with Mountain Dew or pour it over my cornflakes if I want to.
