And anyhow number 616 has as much claim for being the "number of the beast" as 666, so he's going to hell anyhow.

IF the sticker is defined as part of the uniform or otherwise part of the job, there's nothing wrong with it. If the employee signed up for the job and didn't trust the number would get up to 666 at somepoint, ah well, good riddance.

No, it's not "illegal" to fire an employee for refusing to do their job.
