Free online. I guess a lot of people on the sift do it that way.
Combo of my basic cable and free online content.
Free online and a basic Netflix account, though the instant streaming is very limited.
^I do the same.
^Me three.
^Get a room.
Premium cable / PVR. I would wither away and die without my sweet, sweet PVR.
^ Me too.
^ Me three. (seriously, except I rarely use it - it just comes with my fancy internet connection and the wife uses it)
On a side note, do polls need the capacity for checkboxes as well as radio buttons?
I pay for premium cable only to watch a handful of channels. Having options is just there for a sense of security.
I just found out I have free cable in my apartment a few months ago...had it about 4 years without even knowing.
I have just free to air digital tv here in Australia, but don't have an 'analog to digital antenna converter box'... wah? I have a digital PVR which uses the same old antenna that's been on the house since before the days of digital.
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Hulu and torrents - the ocassional Dvd - but no TV in the house.
hmmm - no option for parasites - I don't own a tv, but I watch lots of premium cable/dvr/pay-per-view at my friends' places.
Never could bother with TV - utter waste of productive time.
However my wife is a TV-o-holic and up until about 3-4 months ago we had satellite.
We finally agreed that it just wasn't worth the $80 a month so we got rid of it.
We have many friends who have all done the same thing. (7-8 families).
They all have various TV shows, seasons on DVD, so my wife still gets her fix - everyone shares them around.
Now I just need to get rid of our other time waster - this computer!
^Anything done in moderation that you enjoy is never a waste of time.
Basic satellite (no monthly cost) for football games and information, one-click hosters for a couple of tv shows.
Premium (when it's not cut-off for non-payment).
I like MSNBC, History, Discovery, some HD channels, NatGeo, MSNBC, CNN, BBC, and a buncha other stuff. Premium cable just makes it easy.
Planning on buying an FTA box though....free po.....I mean free channels!
i dont watch tv..well..i do catch LOST online but thats the only show.
The tv in the house is pretty much only for watching dvds. Other tv-like time is here on the sift.
My TV used to be my Xbox / Wii monitor, but I've since given my Wii away and I'm using my 24" computer monitor as my 1080p Xbox display, so my TV just sits there, collecting dust.
"I use an analog to digital antenna converter box." -- How without the converter box and over the air (OTA) with antennae (rabbit ears for me).
Anyways, I have two HDTV tuner cards in my PC (not always on and not recording everything like reality shows) and an old CRT TV+VCR+DTV Pal converter box as a backup.
No TV either. Purely torrents for now, and buy box sets of shows I really like. Once I move out I'm saving for a projector straight out, not even going to bother with buying a TV in the interim.
OTA TV and Hulu streamed through the PS3.
I have a TV that's not hooked to any signal. It's just for DVDs. Everything else I watch is on the Sift.
Ditched TV way back in 2004 (not by choice) and found out that I did not really miss it. Netflix + Hulu for the occasional show.
Voting for this poll ended with the majority of users voting I watch for free online. (hulu, torrents, etc).
I would watch online, but my cable Internet sucks sometimes especially during peak hours. Also, caps.
