Correct. We are defending someone's right to be who they want to be without being attacked by ignorant others. You are trying to defend your own right to attack others. That's not how it works. Freedom of expression does not cover your right to attack others based on xenophobia. You are not allowed to shout racist abuse at people in the street and say "FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!"

Try to keep your dislike of transvestites/gays/whatever to yourself, and if not; to present these views in a less retarded way. The sift has a habit of banning users who are not able to behave like civilized people.
