KICK-ASS KICKS ASS.

Saw it last night and fucking loved every second of it. Extremely well done and far beyond my expectations. Will definitely see it again soon. Chloe Grace Moretz as Hit Girl was a scene-stealer and the star of the show, but the writing and action were phenomenal.

"With no power comes no responsibility."

Of course if you have delicate sensibilities and can't stand the thought of a cute little girl cursing and slicing up bad guys, you might find this morally reprehensible and should stick to High School Musical and Spongebob Squarepants.

Saw this movie a week ago and had a lot of expectations. Ended up being quite disappointed as the film felt very scizophrenic, part comedy, part drama, part messed up thriller. There were some funny scenes and Hit Girl was a lot of fun, but in the end it was far from enough to save this overrated film.

Absolutely, truly, and sincerely disagree with rasch. The film was pulled off extremely well, telling a few incredible, unbelievable stories in a very interesting, believable way. Kick-Ass has a lot more depth than I was expecting and a very well-rounded story. If that qualifies it as schizophrenic, then I'll be a monkey's uncle. This film was not only not overrated but went far above and beyond what I had hoped it to be.

Bravo, says I. Bravo.

I agree with our blonde haired Norwegian. I saw I came I left feeling meh, Hit girl is a scene stealer though, there good parts but overall DVD rental.

LOL, somebody stole an idea from Léon.

Yeah, not so much. I'd considered the similarity, but it really comes down to the minor issue of a preteen girl in a movie with guns, which isn't much of a similarity, let alone a "stolen idea."

Matilda in Leon is completely different and in a completely different type of story than is Hit Girl in Kick-Ass.
