Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden
Just ordered up some large prints of some pseudo oil painting versions of a few photos we snapped at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver, BC, Canada from our trip back in September. They're pretty pretty so I thought I'd share. What do you think?

This is a neat little lily pad crop from the photo of Charms above.
Not at the garden, but also in Vancouver, this is a view of Lions' Gate Bridge from Stanley Park.

Gets a little Monet blurry there.
We had an exhibition of his lilypad paintings here in New Orleans back in 1995. The works documented what was happening to his eyesight.
Hehe. Yeah. It seems it's part of how they make it appear more like an actual painting than a photo. It's actually printed on canvas and will appear to have texture, so the virtual brush strokes and blur should look better on the finished product as the strongest blurring is mainly around the edges where the canvas will be wrapped around wood.
Interesting about Monet's eyesight. I admit I don't know much at all about art, but I'd be very interested to see the progression of work by famous artists from their youth to old age.
The one in the middle of your blog looks like a photograph... had me fooled.
Great! Thanks.
Yeah, that middle guy has the least amount of virtual brush strokes and looks most fake. I hope it turns out looking more believable on canvas.
