I've heard the expression but never knew the origin.

But after watching this video I argue that if the nail is still doing its job it's not dead yet.

A cadaver certainly has its medical scientific uses and it's still as dead as a doornail to me...

The main thing is that this door will not serve for 3-4 years like the others, but it will last for many years, 10 years, and maybe it will be enough for a quarter
