This was an obvious idea for a video, but they somehow managed to screw it up anyway.

This video was begging to have guys who look like Zach Galifianakis, unshaven and wearing dirty clothes... but the video creators completely miss the joke and instead somehow cast guys who look like they just got out of a Gap commercial.

Wales, England, ginormous ego, whatever...

Kid gets a chance to talk to his hero. Hero does a fine job just being human for a while and not focusing on the hurt. That's what's most important here and it's not really about Bale, it's about Zach.

Superman?
A boring character with almost no vulnerabilities and no interesting character traits.
Zack Synder?

Will have to do a lot better after the Avengers (solid action, genuinely funny script) and the Dark Knight Rises (visually stunning with real emotive weight).

I loved The Avengers. Bright, colourful, uncomplicated superheroes having fun. The story was very simple but that was needed to allow room for all the characters to breath and interact. As you say a nice script and some good lines.
It's much more my cup of tea than the foreboding, depressing Dark Knight films.


I loved every minute of both The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.

Also, have to disagree with wtih @ChaosEngine about Zack Synder. He simply can't write, but he can sure as shit direct and has such a fantastic eye for visuals. Not every director should be able to write, as long as they can take good material and make something excellent from it, which he has done, multiple times.

I actually watched this last week on RocketJump. I agree the writing could be better, but it's still fun.


Glad I'm not the only one who keeps hearing VGA Chess. And yeah, characters are a bit too annoying. The accent on Zach Levi seems just...unnecessary. I feel like he's going to be the next aging actor who had one somewhat popular show but won't do much after that but will cling to his past fame.
