Rugby player calmly relocates his shoulder mid game

I dislocated the same teammate's shoulder twice during American Football practices back in high school (boarding school). He's 2 years my senior & about 6 inches taller than I. 1st time's dislocation he was hospitalized. The second time around, when I pop his shoulder out, 1 or 2 seconds later another teammate popped his shoulder back in right away by rushing him. After a few screams he opened up his eyes, saw me and yelled "You AGAIN!?" I didn't know whether to feel sorry or LOL... I did both. Must have the weirdest expression on my face ever.

He was a student prefect & a very good sport. I was either #1 or 2 in art class, so I gave him my best paint work as gift to make up for it. Fond memories.

How little sis tells rest of family about leukemia diagnosis

noims says...

Not sure how to put this in the context of the video, but...

My gf was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months back and has just finished chemo... now prepping for surgery, radio, and hormone therapy. I know that's a world apart from chronic leukemia - like flu and aids are both viruses - but her attitude was/is:
"Ok, I'm sick, I've got to go through some crap and I'll be better than I am now, even if I'm not fully cured. There's no point raging out about the big fight, or raging inwardly about how unfair it is. I've just got to do some stuff.

"Sick or not, going to work is annoying but necessary. When I need to take care of my child or bf it can be annoying, but necessary. There's no promise that life is easy, but you just do what you can."

I think it's great that people have the strength of character to rage against the disease and not give in to depression, but I will forever be astounded and impressed by my gf's incredibly practical "meh" attitude.

She's Russian. They're a strange people with the weirdest and most practical dark sense of humour, but it's amazing how practical that whole side is.

Fencing in slow motion

Not far off, but it's all ok. My best friend - his dad - has gone to have a little chat with him. I'm sure it's all sorted by now.

As for the response speed (yes, I was tempted to wait a year or so before posting this), I do remember one night after doing well in a competition I kept being woken up by my right arm doing a parry-riposte. My muscles were acting completely independant of my conscious brain. It was one of the weirdest feelings I've ever had.

A student went over to the dark side and you swore you'd never teach people to kill again?

But now you have to come out of retirement to hunt down your former student because you're "the only one who knows him"?

I'm always impressed by the sheer response speed of fencers.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

True, you could tell the part about calling Jay the "weirdest looking guy I've ever seen" was unscripted and honest - loved it, and it humanised Jay a little bit.
