Jimmy Fallon Hurricane Sandy Cold Open + Monologue

>> ^artician:

I don't watch TV. I'll take on the occasional Conan clip when it's uploaded, because I find him amusing and I used to watch him when I was a kid. I will watch episodes of Craig Ferguson on youtube. I practically never see Leno, no that it has anything to do with his reputation in post-conan-latenight years.
But Jimmy Fallon.... Where did this guy come from and when did he get on the air? I know I've seen clips of his show for at least the last couple years, but other than the few I've seen online I don't know anything about him. The more important thing is, to me, that there's something about this guy that I can not stand.
I have this sense of hate toward this guy I know nothing about, and don't know what causes it. I don't even like Hate! I hate Hate! Still, what's the deal?

I feel the same way about Letterman and Leno. I don't know why, but they drive me bat shit mad when I watch them.

Fallon is an acquired taste, much like Conan. Fallon is a solid interviewer, if safe and middle-of-the-road.

Yet, Fallon will come out of nowhere with a Doors Reading Rainbow skit or a Eddie Vedder - Jeremy (Lin) skit and just blow my mind with his talent. Plus, he has The Roots as his in house band which is always a pleasure.

America's got talent- Eli Mattson

I'm sorry, I have to voice my opinion somewhere, right? If Eddie Vedder and Elton John had a child..........It would be Eli Matson, I mean this by no means in a good way. Would you pay $100 in Vegas to see something so unoriginal, ya ya so there are a million and one unoriginal Elvis acts, but who in their right mind would shell out money to see Eli Matson? How can Pierce? Why would Pierce?
I'll tell you why, cause he grew up in England listening to Elton his whole life, only reason he gives praise to Eli. It's also the only reason he would buy Eli's album, I assume Eli's family and friends would also be among the small group of loyal fans that follow him into his deep dark decent of cover albums. "Well he must be good, he got this far" you say.

Fact of the matter is, Hes an awesome (I use the term semi-loosely) Pianist. Until I hear an original Album Produced by some big wig industry name, I have to ask myself, how in the world could he be in the top ten, and is this all America has to offer?

Remember this:

If he was on American Idol, he wouldn't have made it past the first episode.

Done and done. Didn't realize this was a problem, as this wasn't regionblocked for me and I'm viewing it from Norway.

hey rasch?
so long as the Daily Show, Colbert, etc are regionblocked?
because their reptilian alien overlords at Viacom continue to be more concerned with their short-term residual pennies, then the long-term repeat business from ... oh, was i rambling again? shit. where was i? oh.

if you're going to sift regionblocked stuff, please include an un-RB'ed alternate link, in the Description, so that the rest of earth can enjoy?

let's not make fedquip have to do it for everyone else? thx!
