The Great VideoSift Coming -Out Thread (Happy Talk Post)
My name is Ray. I was born in Vancouver, BC (not the little one in Washington). I've lived in Vancouver, Victoria, Abbotsford, Calgary, Barrie, Angus, Wasaga Beach, Borden, Annapolis Royal, and Halifax. Oops, I forgot Denver. I currently live in Fort Langley, BC. I'm not nearly as interesting as everyone else on the sift. The most interesting things I've done are to get arrested a couple of times and I once threw a piece of copper wire across the trolley lines at Fourth and Trimble and shorted out all the buses from Main Street to UBC. And I think I may be the oldest person on here but I'm not saying how old.
Oh and my avatar, clearly inspired by "The Big Lebowski". I chose it one night after, on a whim, I became an ordained minister of The Church of the Latter Day Dude
The Sandwich Nazi
He's at least gonna have to mop out that closet before inspection this time eh? lol See what I did there?
>> ^PlayhousePals:
Oh [where's my] Brother! How the hell does this guy pass the Board of Health inspections for his shop? They must have sanitary standards in Vancouver, right? =oO

Protesting a Protester
I could stand downtown town and two hours and never have a black person walk by.
Does this make it racist to be downtown?
On that same note, I could stand in a mall in Vancouver for quite some time before a white person walked by.
>> ^Lolthien:
This is a great sentiment, and more power to the guy. But I couldn't help but notice with the exception of a single woman in the first ten seconds. Every single person in this video was white.

Where in the world are you? (Travel Talk Post)
I have lived near Vancouver, BC, Canada all my life. I have visited many different parts of North America, but have not made it to another continent yet.

I currently live in Kelowna, BC, Canada!
Have also lived in Vancouver BC, Canada
and Quesnel BC, Canada.
I guess I don't get around much but I have moved back and forth between these three quite a bit.
Lets see, Kelowna, Quesnel, Kelowna, Vancouver, Kelowna, Quesnel, back to Kelowna.
Massive Protest Brings Montreal To A Standstill
>> ^krelokk:

Kudos to the youth of Montreal for keeping it peaceful. They could teach Vancouver a thing or two.
I think it is a different situation. Vancouver hockey idiots angry over losing vs Montreal students that have a genuine issue.
It was so lame when the police were saying 'this wasn't the hockey fans, it was a group of anarchists' when every damn news station and youtube video was clearly showing jersey wearing hockey fans destroying the city. Off topic but yeah... hockey idiots vs students with real issues... lol
Oh, we have plenty of hockey idiots here in Montreal, and we had quite our share of riots and post-game vandalism (especially after winning, go figure... Well, we'll be safe on that count for another few years, likely...). Also, I recommend you do a little research on our yearly Anti Police Brutality protests... The cause is relevant, but the results are rarely Gandhi-esque.

You See This Watch? This Watch Costs More Than Your House
>> ^jonny:
You mean housing prices? Yeah, I'm aware that many houses cost more than $260k. The title is a just reference to Glengarry Glen Ross.
>> ^kir_mokum:
you do not live in vancouver.
I was gonna say, USD 260,000 - which is approximately GBP 163,532 - would not buy you much in London, either. My small one-bedroom flat in a not-terribly-nice area of SE London cost me £1500 more than that watch. But now I get the reference I'll let you off.
