I had a similar fight with one "pilot" before about a Mi-24 Hind crash.
He the one supposedly flying generic civilian helicopters and telling me that forward speed in choppers can never be converted into altitude or at least to decrease the falling speed. Not realizing that a chopper like the Hind has huge wings that actually give a lot of uplift in situations like in this video here or the Hind crash.

The uplifting Californian couple that performed what was thought to be a spontaneous karaoke duet as part of Jay Leno's Tonight Show "Pumpcast News" segment may have actually been hired actors, according to The Smoking Gun. According to the hoax killers, Will Sims and his wife Monifa have been pursuing careers in show business for sometime with Mrs. Sims having appeared on the same "Pumpcast News" segment before more than two years ago. Monifa has since responded to the allegations, claiming it was just a coincidence that she ended up on the show for a second time.

It is a shame that people refuse to believe there is a next level to what a person can experience. I am intrigued by mundane reality as well as scientific exploration, innovation and theory. But, it is not nearly as fascinating compared to the reality a person can experience for real, inside of their own heads.

I would say that my imagination is fairly basic yet what my friends and I have beholden is absolutely inhuman and incomprehensible; uplifting, life changing.

Now THAT was an uplifting experience.

Cheers first aired in 1982 when I was 3 years old. I remember watching it sitting on the living room floor with my dad many nights. The way the theme starts quiet and then blossoms into a full, broad sound is uplifting. The old photos, drawings and painting force me to think/wonder about bygone days and the rich, warm colors feel so comfortable.

Clearly he knows how to create jobs in China.

In any case, I have to say I'm willing to believe people really do desperately want to work in that factory, or others like it. That's not a particularly uplifting thought, in fact I think it's maybe even worse than if the factory was holding the workers in by force. That people want to work in sweatshops is an indication of a society with deep, deep problems.

I'm not defending Romney, by the way. Treating workers badly because they can't afford to demand better is abuse just the same as treating them badly because they're slaves. I'm just not sure the claim about his credulity is backed up by the video.

I watched this live on NBC. My wife looked at him and closed her mind. His story represents a repressed being who seemingly been rejected by society. In his solace he found inner peace through singing. Truly beautiful.

I'm not a GOTH fan by any means but this was truly uplifting. I wish him the very best in life.
