Bernie Sanders: Trump's Tweets Are "Delusional & Insane"

coolhund says...

Mhm, would have been awesome with a person like Clinton as president who bullied Bernie out of the race and then Bernie kissed her ass, as if nothing happened, pretty much selling his soul to the devil. Much better than Trump. Mhm. For sure.

Not to mention Trump isnt even president yet.

What really makes me angry, is seeing such MASSIVE and unbelievably disgusting hypocrisy from the "good guys". In the last few months you guys completely changed my opinion about humanity and the world that we are living in. Congratulations.

Yeah, I know how allergic you guys react to un-PC stuff and people who try to make reality clear to you. So, you can save your replies.

But I agree. Grow the fuck up and fix your system, dont allow corrupt... individuals and whole god damn parties to speak for you, dont vote for them, dont support them in any way, speak up against lying media campaigns, even if they are against someone you dont like or for someone you support, and then maybe we can talk about real freedom of speech, democracy and human rights. Until then NOBODY, N O B O D Y with at least half a brain will take you seriously and will only see you as what you really are.

I'm so angry this man is not my president elect right now.

Good work douchebags. You thought you were so clever with your fucked up voting strategies, bitching about "lesser of two evil" choices, refusing to vote and taking a stand against...whatever the fuck you thought you were doing. Now we have a thin skinned, narcissistic, ignorant, man-child for our president.

Stop trying to rationalize this. This is not a voter revolt, this is not a paradigm shift in politics, this is not Hillary Clinton's fault or Debbie Wasserman Schultz's doing; this is the result of the masses falling for decades of misinformation combined with an emotional appeal to our worst instincts by a demagogue. You fell for it while you patted yourself on the back for being so much smarter than everyone else. Now we're fucked.

So grow the fuck up and do something to fix this.

"Push back? Do you mean intentionally suppress laughter for fear of being un-PC? Heckle (thats fine BTW)? Defame? Ban? Throw stones? Chase out of town? Burn books? Worse?"

Awfully hyperbolic. You seem to think someone saying "I don't like this" is brushing up with burning books?

Because I see that as an act of free speech. Protest, boycotts, etc aren't suddenly forcing anyone to do something or preventing anyone from saying anything. It's meeting speech with more speech. The pinion of free speech principles.

But free speech has never been freedom from consequences. You can say whatever edgu thing you like but you can't expect everyone to just shut up and be fine with it.

Either you accept being edgy is going to rile people up and get you reactions or you go back to doing boring ass material. Imagining that someone not enjoying your joke is akin to a mob trying to murder you only really shows how thin skinned comedians are to any criticism. Ignore it.

And the issue of disinvitations to colleges is, again, more free speech acts. Yet somehow, unless the speech is toothless and ineffective, its a melt down by thin skinned comedians.

Look, you need to know your audience when you do a gig. You don't walk into a bar mitzvah gig and tell all your edgy antisemetic jokes then get wounded at the "PC outrage" when people get mad. Yet somehow going to a college during a rise in college activism against racism/sexism and telling your "women are shit, right?" jokes is supposed to be no issue?

And the other issue in this: colleges are viewed more and more as a services paid transaction: I'm paying thousands to this place to provide me a product. So its no wonder students feel more empowered to complain, especially when their money from activity fees is being spent on something they don't like.

Saying "you owe us $500 and we're going to use it to pay the 'Muslims are all rapists' guy to come here and talk" isn't the best way to make people feel like their money is being used with their best interests in mind.

Honestly, if you feel like protests or any act of free speech you disagree with is akin to burning books or destroying lives... Maybe you should grow a thicker skin. Everyone doesn't have to like what you say and its not some afront to your rights when they don't.

Is it not?

Edgy comedians reacting to people reacting to edgy comedians are more annoying than people reacting to edgy comedians? Possibly.

Push back? Do you mean intentionally suppress laughter for fear of being un-PC? Heckle (thats fine BTW)? Defame? Ban? Throw stones? Chase out of town? Burn books? Worse?

My guess would be comedians just seek laughter, because that confirms understanding and sells tickets.

Family Guy - Disney Universe

ponceleon says...

I think it will be pretty hard to prove that he was as rabid an anti-semite as urban legend will have us believe. As some have stated, he definitely came from a MUCH less un-pc time than now, you just have to look at the portrayal of minorities in the older Disney flicks to see that they are certainly dated (not necessarily racist unless you choose to judge them by TODAY'S standards). Along these lines, one could easily say that it is likely he probably would not be 100% Kosher so to say...

... That said, he was rabidly anti-communist, to the point of having testified in the "unamerican" trials. He was one of those who "named names" and such.

So in summary, I'm sure Disney was an asshole if nothing else, whether a true anti-semite or not, it will be hard to prove since I doubt there are no accurate records of his private conversations which would make us think so...

Over here and in america i've seen plenty of examples of political correctness gone mad. One video on here (couldn't find it) of a politician who used a term with the word "black" in it or "dark" in it and a black person at the table refused to carry on the debate until he'd apologised, which was absolutely outrageous.

The blackboard thing IS in effect. You have to call a blackboard a chalkboard, A woman was fired (possibly rehired after press coverage) for wearing a christian cross around her neck (a very small one) in case it offended non christians. A muslim teacher in a non-denomination primary school (4-10 yr olds) was allowed to continue teaching with her face entirely covered because it was decided that it was un-PC to get her to remove it whilst teaching.

That last one is debateable and i stated it for the contrast, but i personally would take my kids out of that school - unable to see her mouth for correct pronunciation of words, unable to see her facial expression, these are all important parts of a child's upbringing in the british culture as i experienced it. But i'm the least racist person you could possibly hope to meet, i'd be taking my kids out because i'd be worried it'll affect their upbringing... i mean if you could even see her mouth i'd let the facial expression part slide.

As long as political correctness exists, racial equality won't exist. I think you're using the term "political correctness" almost as a substitute for "politeness". There's no substitute for politeness, it is only when we don't NEED political correctness to remind us to be polite that racial harmony will exist. People will simply be polite to all they meet, and race (and therefor political correctness) will not be in anyone's mind.

It's like a litmus paper test. When we don't need it, we've got ourselves racial harmony. But we still need it for now, just not the crazed version of it that i see on a weekly if not daily basis.

comments are good too!

i also changed the wording of this post a few times, it came out wrong first time.

America's Dark Future in a Post-9/11 World

Ryjkyj says...

No shit. Talk about completely delusional. This video sucked, but I doubt that any of these people want their 2nd amendment rights taken away. And they're not talking about knowing what's best for you. It's the freaking conservatives that are so concerned about legislating morals and saying "don't worry, we've got it all under control". I'm a democrat and I've read 1984 and I'll put it as un-PC as possible. You're a worthless fucking douchebag quatumushroom. We're all going to die in this fucking horrible world because jerkoffs like you can't pick up a fucking book or speak for yourself or basically do anything but follow a prescribed system to make more and more money that's just going to blow up in your stupid facking face.
"Real Faschism" Uh? Do you have one example to back up the shit that's spewing out of your retarded fucking cock holster?
