'Enders Game' Writer's Ridiculous Racist Rant Against Obama

lantern53 says...

Why is it that anyone who criticizes Obama is a racist? Can't you just be against his policies w/o being a racist.
He doesn't mention his race once. This turkish import keeps mentioning race, though.
Whenever Hillary becomes president, anyone criticizing her will be a sexist. Natch.

A Terrible Interview with Author, Reza Aslan

Jinx says...

Somewhat ironic: Aslan is Turkish for Lion, and is also the name of the Lion in C. S Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia, a character who represents Jesus, at least in parts. COINCIDENCE? probably. but still!

I think the outrage is not that it paints Jesus poorly, but that the implication is that he is "merely" an extraordinary man rather than the Son of God and our Saviour. You know, kinda like how calling a stick figure Muhammad somehow diminishes his glory.

How to (Properly) Eat Sushi

arekin says...

This is not true, a hamburger for example is a experience of its parts. The toppings on a burger define it as much as the meat used, which is why we have burger joints littering the US with each having its own unique take on the burger.

Sushi is an experience of the fish, it is defined at its core by the delicate preparation and the art that goes into creating it. Each piece is created to stimulate the palate, and slopping on soy and wasabi would be the equivalent of saying the Mona Lisa would look better touched up with finger paints.

Eat it however you "like it", but don't begin to argue that its the right way to eat sushi.

Also Hipster implies that sushi is not mainstream, which isn't true, its very common in any areas with an ounce of culture and is easier to find that foods of other cultures (turkish and indian food are actually harder to find in my neck of the woods).

gwiz665 said:

I respect the essence of this post, but I don't much care for the tone. I'm not so sure that you can differentiate between sushi and something like a hamburger; after all a hamburger is ALL about the beef. Sushi is just traditional japanese food - nothing magical about it; the rest is just hipster magic - it's big in Oregon.

Immigrants Taking British Jobs - Does The Math Add Up

eric3579 says...

Mathematics

He says
"those god damn pakistanis and their goddamn corner shops
Built a shop on every corner took our British workers jobs
He says those godamn Chinese and their goddamn china shops
I tell him theyre from Vietnam but he doesn't give a toss
I ask him what was there before that damn Japan mans shop
He stares at me and dreams a scene of British workers jobs
Of full time full employment before the godamn boats all came
Where everybody went to work full time every day
A British Business stood their first he claims before the Irish came
Now British people lost their jobs and bloody turkish are there to blame
I ask him how he knows that fact he says because it's true
I ask him how he knows the fact he says he read it in the news
Everytime a Somalian comes here they take a job from us
The mathematics one for one, from us to them it just adds up
He bites his cake and sips is brew and says again he knows the spot
The godamn Carribeans came and now good folk here don't have jobs
I ask him what was there before the goddamn Persian curtain shop
I show him architectures plans of empty godamn plots of land
I show him the historic maps
A bit of sand, a barren land
There was no goddamn shop before those pakistanis came and planned
Man
I'm sick of crappy mathematics
Cos I love a bit of sums
I spent three years into economics
And I geek out over calculus
And when I meet these paper claims
That one of every new that came
Takes away ones daily wage
I desperately want to scream
"Your maths is stuck in primary"
Cos one who comes here also spends
And one who comes here also lends
And some who comes here also tend
To set up work which employs them
And all your balance sheets and trends
Work with numbers not with men
And all your goddamn heated talk
Ignores the trade the Polish brought
Ignores the men they gave work to
Not plumbing jobs but further too
Ignores the ones they buy stock from
Accountants, builders, on and on
And I know it's nice to have someone
To blame our lack of jobs upon
But immigrations not as plain
Despite the sums inside your brain
As one for one, as him or you
As if he goes, they'll employ you
Cos sometimes one that comes makes two
And sometimes one can add three more
And sometimes two times two is much much more
Than four
And most times immigrants bring more
Than minuses.

The Turkey Dictator

MilkmanDan says...

This dude is apparently fluent in Turkish! .../ducks and ignores the groans

I remember kicking a soccer ball (football) around at my house when we had turkeys. They'd respond with gobbles like that after every kick simply due to the sound it made. Normal behavior for their species as @chingalera said, although it seemed like groups of turkeys would respond like this with gusto whereas I never really noticed similar behavior from chickens or ducks.

I would possibly also disagree with the "never gets old" remark...

Biggest Thing in the Universe - Sixty Symbols

grinter says...

Notice the book on the shelf behind Mike Merrifield, "Atlas of Creation". This is a huge volume that attempts to debunk biological evolution. In 2006 & 2007 a Turkish man named Adnan Oktar randomly sent thousands of copies of this, presumably very expensive, book to scientist around the world.
Of course, it doesn't make a very compelling argument for creationism, but the thing is... the book is so well produced, of such high quality, that many who received it just couldn't bare to throw it away.

De big bang vuurwerk voor het nieuwe jaar

chicchorea says...

*ban

I was the third viewer hours ago, and now the seventh viewer of this vid on YT by YT account holder emircan duman which appears to be Turkish. This new VS account holder name, also Turkish, roughly translates as vagrancy, vagrant...so maybe lurker.

The post was ten hours behind the YT post and this poster was the first or second viewer at best?

Besides being a dupeof http://videosift.com/video/The-Redneck-Rocket-Launcher

I vote turkish revenge.
