A little techno to brighten your day

Techno ? this is down-tempo style of electronic.
Meh, I use techno as a catchall. If I'm talking about techno-techno I'll usually call it electro, or what have you. Besides, it's arguably ambient.
I think you are wrong !
What'cha going to do about that !!

Avicii - Levels

I love techno music that's got some structure & not just mindless "thump-thump". Good camerawork roundabout the 2:42-2:50 mark. For one second there at the beginning, I thought it was gonna be like Fatboy Slim's "Push The Tempo"
That's progressive house and electro house for ya

Paranoid Android played on Lettuce Leaves?!?!
I don't think he could have kept such a crude device running at an even tempo the whole time. I also don't think he could have kept the holes in the lettuce lined up in the machine since the paper guide obviously wouldn't have been working.
Either way, this will go in my *nolife channel when I get Ruby status.>> ^braindonut:
Or the dude just punched holes in lettuce and overlaid a soundtrack.
Petman (aka terminator) / Stayin Alive mashup
petman really hasn't grasped the tempo, has he?
New Order covered on ukulele: "Bizarre Love Triangle"
And yet we still upvoted.>> ^dystopianfuturetoday:
Performance notes: Very sloppy. I'd recommend that whenever you perform things that are rhythmically challenging for you, that you should first solidify those rhythms at slower tempos. Once you have mastered it at a slow tempo, gradually increase the tempo until you can comfortably perform at the desired tempo. A metronome would be very helpful. That'll be $40, see you next week.

Amazing Punt Fake for TD, Stupid Rule Takes It Back
"And regarding this taunting behavior that so many people find offensive, I don't see the problem. In fact, I don't think taunting goes nearly far enough. In my opinion (and I'm certainly no professional athlete) after a good hard tackle the defensive player should be allowed to pull down his pants and masturbate on the man he tackled. It seems like a simple thing, but it would change the whole tempo of the game. And if he can't ejaculate because 60,000 people are watching, you hit him with a fifteen yard penalty for delay of game."

The way he moves has nothing to do with the music. It didn't seem like he was actually responding to the music at all.
What video were you watching?
This one. Hey, it's subjective, man.
But, the majority of his movements are in tempo with the music. Especially in the heavier sections of the song. That part is not subjective, it's blatantly obvious. To say that his movements weren't in response to the music just makes me think that you didn't actually WATCH the video. Or at least all of it.
As far as his moves having nothing to do with the music, well, that part is subjective but, I'd like to see your dance interpretation of this song.
How about it, the very 1st Videosift Dance Off? C'mon FIHH, Bring It!!!!
(wondering how I got to the point where I'm defending a dance video... ? heavy sigh)

Is it me or is the tempo a bit slow? I remember the song having a faster pace but maybe it's just me.
I don't think so, critcal_d. Not sure, but his is the way I remember it.

the only time is tonight-dj earworm vs youtube=mashup
>> ^noims:
Earworm's incredible, but recently he's been cramming as many tracks into the one song as he could. It's an amazing demonstration of skill...
not really. most pop music is in the same key and approximate tempo and ableton syncs everything for you.
Passion Pit- Sleepy Head
I've always thought the background vocalizations of Sleepyhead sounded a lot like the chorus to this one (but much higher-pitch and tempo of course): A Spaceman Came Travelling -- not sure if it's intentional... ?
