Music Video Gives A Redo to Boring Corporate Video Footage

SFOGuy says...

huh "Directed by the Swedish collective StyleWar in collaboration with production company Smuggler, the music video accompanies BRONSON ’s newly released track “Keep Moving.” The short is comprised of stock footage that’s manipulated and layered with CGI to create the frenzied office nightmare, according to a statement. For more of Smuggler’s comical projects, head to Vimeo."

In case anyone was wondering: the actual named company exists and---it's apparently a financial accounting firm?

Farmer Was Sick Of People Parking On His Land

Funny, we share a lot of the same thoughts.

Yes, 20-second mildly interesting story dramatized and exploded out into an epic stock-footage filled campaign about the world turning on inconsiderate parkers.

"He considered lots of solutions and became desperate..." - not desperate enough to put up a sign?

And what's with the BS footage of rows and rows and rows and rows of cars which they made to seem like was happening on his land? When the showed his actual land there was just room enough for those two short rows of cars.

Trump Can't Find Actual Supporters For His Reelection Ads

newtboy says...

Since Trump can't find supporters people want to be associated with, or even paid actors that want to be associated with him, it's no surprise he uses international stock footage and dubs in his messaging.

Odd the dems don't keep getting caught doing this, isn't it? They must just be much better at it I guess, because you seem certain they're doing it too.

Every Best Visual Effects Winner. Ever.

How is stock footage of an iceberg calving a 'visual effect'?
Same question for Morlock costumes. A costume is hardly an effect. There were certainly visual effects in 'time machine', but the costumes were hardly in that catagory.

"...there are some very quick stock footage clips towards the beginning that are very graphic..."

Can you provide a little more info there? I was about to click play and just read that. Now I don't know if I want to watch it or not!

I don't think that Bernie will be a good president -- nowadays, with the polarization, we might be doomed forever. But I do believe in what he is saying. I just don't think he can do it in this atmosphere.

And that song. My goodness that song. It speaks right to what he truly stands for -- America is for the people. Stock footage or not, those were the faces of who he truly wants to work for.

I wish he could git'er done. I don't think it is possible.

Yeah. The stock footage thing shouldn't work, but I dunno... that song just gets me right in the feels. Maybe it's just it reminds me of a more optimistic time in my life, but I associate it with the good stuff I admired about the US as a kid.

The cynic in me just points out that it's just manipulation and either Sanders won't get in or he'll be a disappointment if he does.... but hells bells, it'd be nice to believe in something again.

Possibly First Ever Video of Peacock Spider Mating Behavior

That has to be some of the worst editing and voiceover work I've seen. Shame though, because the spiders were pretty cool subject matter.

If biologist were paid what BBC producers were, then maybe it would make sense that you are complaining. As it is, I think this video is a pretty good value.
If you want cheesy, polished narration, check out the ABC version:

I never said I wanted cheesy, polished narration. Nor do I expect high quality swooping shots of glorious vistas, all edited together in a magical and breathtaking piece of art.

However, I would have liked something which didn't have varying background sound levels (it could easily have been muted or evened out during the closeups with voiceover). I would have also liked less shots of the same thing. "This female is watching carefully", followed by "And this one as well", followed by a third "Another female arrives on the scene", followed by 20 seconds of random shots of the females. There was no context to those shots - they could have been stock footage of unconnected females that was added into the film solely to pad it out. They didn't add anything to the purpose of the film, which was showcasing the mating behaviour, and they didn't really tie into the overall direction of the narration.

The video is indeed pretty good value, but I think it's a shame that there are several small things that could be improved without having to be ABC and without a massive time/money investment. No idea if I'm the only one, but while the content was very interesting I did not watch the whole 6.5 minute clip, which to me is indicative of the mistakes I mentioned.
