To be fair, I can't really decide what I'd do in that situation. Assuming the tornado was just suddenly upon them with no warning, there aren't a lot of options. Staying in the trailer is a bad idea. In the truck or under the truck aren't great ideas. They did appear to make an attempt to drive away, which may have been the best bet, but then they stopped... there would be a lot of danger of hitting panicking pedestrians, but at least you have more options than just sitting in an immobile truck.

I suppose, if I were living there for any length of time, and nobody was going to build a tornado shelter, what I'd do is buy a very sturdy steel drum and secure it to the ground with with some big, long steel bolts and then fashion a solid latch for the top that could be opened from both the inside and the outside (not forgetting the breathing holes, of course). Perhaps pile some sand bags around it for good measure.

What about just digging a trench, five or so feet deep... maybe with a sturdy well secured roof of some time? Being underground, I suppose flooding might be a concern.

Meh, I dunno. I guess when it comes down to it, even in tornado alley, the odds of actually getting hit by a tornado are still pretty small. And, if you are actually *directly* hit by a tornado there probably isn't a whole lot that will save you except maybe a main battle tank or a concrete bunker.

Ok so, been trying to figure out the best way to inspire myself musically without the use of my un-damaged vocal range, with a go-to musical instrument battery I know my way well-enough around to use as a framework for a studio-I can get sounds outta anything, have access to any rudimentary keyboard but am flexible with strings, woodwinds, bass. Now you have to understand if yer mind interprets a musical instrument as some outer-space device requiring a manual or instruction via direct-transmission in order to fire: I can coax pleasing tones from vegetables. What I need is a new kick. I can go for miles rendering compositions only I want to hear with a guitar, harmonica, saxophone-IO crave arrangements, and bass and drums..

Can Keep great time and love percussion, vibes, marimba, steel-drum but never had a set to wail on worth a fuck till now: Same as it ever was….

Worlds’ the oyster, and fuck the dumbshitz, I have access by nature of incarnation and geographical locale and resources to make anything happen-Goin’ for percussion and bass, and solo-Only I can work with a band of miscreants, those dwelling inside my own head, be-damn! That's some frogging good steel drum playing! Don't know who it is, though... Among the others I recognize Randy Brecker on trumpet, Don Alias on percussion and Peter Erskine (with what looks like a ferret beneath his nose) on drums. I don't think I've seen eagle nose on sax before.

I used to like heavy metal, then I turned 14.

So funny to me that it's still around when the entire style is based on the distortion pedal. One simple trick in the guitar's arsenal and they're nothing without it. It should have taken a bow like Reggae and steel drums did in the 90's because it all sounds the same now.
