Police Fire On Men Women and Children w/ Non Lethal Rounds

Didnt a police dog get loose and bite A BABY ... damn... you know lately im losing my fear of myself owning a firearm.. i really didnt think it was a good idea for me to have a lethal weapon... something is rapidly changing my mind and its not fear... its logic... there is too much crazy out there, so be prepared... i may need to shoot a dog someday, or a crazy person in a theater... i give up. i'll buy one. im not happy about it though.

I'm still waiting to hear the story about how an armed citizen prevented a shooting spree.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have a gun if you want one, but don't buy one thinking you're going to rescue someone one day. If you're really that afraid that you'll end up in that kinda situation, get a taser. That way if you make a mistake, at least you won't have killed someone.

Thanks and ta for the upvotes. I hope what's left is good stuff. I'd prefer this to show as my unsifted items and maybe they'll get published.

I am due to do the same. : Looking through your pq there is a lot of good stuff. I'm just glad you weren't on a tirade eliminating everything. Not that it's any of my business. Anyway, I am a bit of a pack rat in real life, saving random things that I might possibly need years in the future. so I guess keeping videos I like with a few votes in my pq is like keeping them in the closet next to my card collection and old electronics cord box makes sense.

Seattle Shootings May 30, 2012

Gun violence in Seattle was higher in the past. Most notably 1994 with a total of 69 homicides. Overall, homicide is down since 1999. It just seems higher because, you know, crazy white person killing white people.

Crime and criminal justice
...After reaching its highest murder rate in 1994 with 69 homicides, Seattle's murder rate declined to a 40-year low with 24 homicides in 2004.[2] By 2006, Seattle's murder rate had increased, with thirty murders that year.[3] ...Seattle has suffered two mass-murders in recent history: the 1983 Wah Mee massacre (13 people killed in the Wah Mee gambling club)[5] and the March 25, 2006 Capitol Hill massacre when 28-year-old Kyle Aaron Huff killed six at a rave afterparty.[6] Later in 2006, an attempted spree killing by Naveed Afzal Haq left one dead at the Jewish Federation building.[7]

You're right of course ... it's just that this past week or so has been so bizarre. That guy who was killed by a random shot driving with his family in the CD, the bystander shot outside of Folk Life and that innocent student randomly shot and killed in Pioneer Square coupled with the too close for comfort events of yesterday have me shaking my head and checking my locks.

Thanks for your voice of reason =o)

Unban choggie, blankfist and dft. (User Poll by MrFisk)

lucky760 says...

Blankfist was banned for releasing private information about another member in a video post (after previously doing it via comment), so just allowing video submissions wouldn't circumvent that.

DFT could un-ban himself at any time. He isn't being punished by VideoSift; he just wanted to publicly punish himself.

I recall you were temp-banned for going on a down-voting spree. Not a trivial matter.

Personally, I feel the assertion that everyone should be allowed to remain in a position to abuse other members is nonsensical, frankly. Maybe it's just my distorted point of view, but we seem to be doing alright with only videos from members who are capable of functioning civilly with others.

I know what you mean, although I honestly think it's a good idea to do stuff like this. It may sound a little over the top, but i would be happy to die in a killing spree, rather than live in a world where I can't even make a little joke or prank without fear of being shot by "accident". What kind of world would it be, where our fears control us to a point that doesn't allow us to be more than working and learning machines?

Not that i know too much about life on a US campus but isn't it an incredibly stupid idea to crash into a room full of students, wearing a mask and wielding something that just has to be mistaken as a weapon? My impression from press is that because of all the killing sprees in US schools and universities and so on several institutions allow their students to wear guns? or at least the professors? And even if this this is a false picture i'm being painted by sensational press, isn't it still at least a cruel thing to do? Aren't people nervous about crazy folks shooting around? You can clearly see the professor twitching nervously. Maybe i'm seeing things too serious but in my perception there's enough of gun related violence in the US education system that would make joking around with such stuff a really bad idea.

I was wondering if someone would bring that up, *conan. It does seem particularly edgy, given another shooting spree recently (although this could have been filmed before that). Also, I'm guessing the Prof was in on it.

All in all, I wish my microeconomics 101 class had this entertainment value.
