I'M SO GAMER

jmd says...

wow..it fails at trying to be funny. Pac man? space invaders? atleast if you are going to play a Ps2, come up with some current hit games to claim your nerd dome by. And since when do game nerds not have friends? Usualy they atleast have fellow game nerds.

You know what this reminds me of?

one level in CoD4, where your a gunner on a C130, taking down Russians, where your crew whoops and hollers every time you get a hit, except this time its real.

War has become a spectator sport in sense, people can become far enough removed from it, that it is just like playing space invaders, and that is what I find truly frightening.

In addition, I cannot up/downvote this in clear conscience, since I watched to about the 1min mark and then felt horribly sick.

Thumb Candy: Iain Lee's Brief History Of Video Games

spoco2 says...

What a truly fascinating documentary. Really, he shows so many things in regards to the early days I'd never seen. I'd never seen the game Atari made before Pong, I'd never seen the original design drawings for the Space Invader Aliens... just brilliant stuff. And to play an original Pong machine against the creator, and a Space Invaders machine against its creator... WOW.
