Longest telemarketer call ever = Greatest prank ever

Ryjkyj says...

When I was a telemarketer I loved shit like this. Anything that keeps me talking on the phone to convince my boss I'm working and to keep me from thinking about how sad and pathetic my life is because I'm working as a telemarketer for the most soulless F*&%*(# C*&^ Ahhhh!

When I get telemarketer calls sometimes, I start asking them about their day and try to cheer them up. Then I get them to start venting about how much their job sucks and what a cock their boss is.

Kutiman's "Mother of All Funk Chords"

Ryjkyj says...

The guy with the harmonica just ruins it. The rest of the song is funk and then he turns it into pasty, lame, white, "John Goodman trying to be Joliet Jake", soulless, house of blues crap. There, I said it.

Kids Disappointed by Disney World

AeroMechanical says...

I went to Disneyworld when I was a kid. I hated pretty much everything about it. Though I wasn't necessarily consciously aware of it at the time, it was indeed the soulless corporate machine under a veneer of canned cheer that put me off it. If you'd asked me at the time, I would probably have said I didn't like it because it was so "fake." It's similar to how I find clowns creepy and disgusting.

Anyways, my guess would be that these kids just spent ten hours in a car. Nothing would be likely to go down well.

They're probably paid by the deck.
Still, it's pretty sad that a job that simple is done by people. What a soulless shitty work environment.

QFT, im sure they're paid by the deck, hence the speediness. But ya, i certainly wouldnt wanna work there. That would get old real damn quick

Fast Hands in Chinese Card Factory

GDGD says...

It seems to me, that if you can have shitty work conditions that people will work in, then there will be someone else who is also willing to work there. If that is the case, you could pay them any flat rate that works, and just terminate workers who do not make a quota.

McDonald's Builds a Giant Adult Playground

Djevel says...

I'm too cynical. As much as I'd like to appreciate adults letting go of the stressors of said adulthood and letting their inner child free for a bit of fun, the video still strikes me as an advertisement for a large, soulless, profit driven corporation.

But yeah...I'd play on it.

Cat tries to revive buddy hit by a car

xxovercastxx says...

You don't get to lecture me about maturity if an injured cat is the saddest thing you've ever seen.

Maybe you prefer to repress your emotions but other people prefer to find ways to deal with them; sometimes odd ways. It doesn't make them soulless or shameful.

>> ^Roachmojo:

Don't worry, yxxovercastxx, you will mature in time. Perhaps by then you will react to a situation of that type like the rest of the adult/mature world, and maybe even get past name calling like an 8 year old.

Chatroulette Speed Painting

Xax says...

I get a kick out of stuff like this. It appears that most people on Chatroulette are depressed, soulless zombies, but I like that this guy(?) takes the time to try and brighten their day in such an interesting way.
