This film is great! Both the original short and the full movie are worth watching - I personally prefer the short. There is also a great deal of *politics and social commentary in the movie about the difference between rural and urban China. The film taps into the fear and awe which characterises the way many rich urban dwellers perceive the rural poor.

This man is very clever and very genuine.

The Oscar-the-Grouch bit was a classic Chappelle; brilliant social commentary couched in curse words.

the story is a really interesting concept, I don't think an alien invasion has ever been portrayed in this manner, it makes for some very good social commentary, thus attaining the goal of being good sci-fi

Statement of Purpose-
Subjectively, hummm this really isn't that complicated, experts, creators and livers' of, and afficianados of social commentary by means of their media of choice, everyone can agree upon, it is all around you, and nowhere at all.

Well no joedirt, I don't care whether or not the vid makes it out of queue without a bullet to the head, I posted this primarily for discussion, including comments such as yours.

It's a sort of "social commentary" posting - hence my initial comment about not particularly caring for the vid.

Sorry, I was pasting the VS Guidelines.. For one the connection of terrorist with Muslim seems kind of racist. But I lump culture, religion, race with the intent of the guidelines. Anyways it is a stereotype.. and from the looks of things, I'm going to have to find some blackface comedy and post it, cause it's just another form of honesty and social commentary.

As Steve Martin used to say, comedy is not pretty.
Stand-up comedy is one of the few art forms left where this kind of honesty and social commentary is still palatable.
