I get the joke. It's a stupid joke. Some of the in-joke videos have been hysterical. This one is not.

Sweet, glad you were able to downvote it without waffling like others. I'm really proud of you. I'm marking your day's work as Satisfactory.

Wow, that was sexist and horrible

`uhhh, how come nobody uses their downvote more on this site? "I have a penis/vagina but WHY USE IT??!!" S'fucking retarded!
Wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings?? Jeez, if any video deserves derision it's this one~ PLLLLLGGGGGH!

It's more that I only downvote really horrible or worthless videos.

This I didn't feel like downvoting because I don't know who the guy is or his shtick, so maybe there's logic to the video.

I'm pretty sure not though, so I don't upvote and leave my snarky comment.

It is horrible though, and if I see it trying to sneak into the top 15 I'll downvote.

Parents Should 'Punch' Gay-Acting Children, Says Pastor Sean

chingalera says...

These TYT people? Muckrakers. Their segments reek of the stench of video-tabloidism. The hosts' air of shock and disgust at the subject matter they choose to editorialize, tiresome and unprofessional. TYT fool themselves if they consider themselves journalists-IMO they would equal in value to the crew of a news camera van assigned to bring you people the news you need, like car fires and people falling off ladders. Wish they would find something else to do besides litter this site with their snarky banter and all the news that's fit to shit. Down-vote if I could here, and remove their computer privileges there.

Oh, and Pastor Harris??-A tool as well.

Santorum: Obama a Snob: He Wants Your Kids to go to College

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

Snarky responses miss the point. One of the next bubbles on the horizon is the education bubble. Obama's takeover of the student loan racket has in essence created an environment of government subsidized college. That's bad. It is artificially inflating the cost of higher education to the point where even community colleges are overpriced.

Couple that with the widespread fact that colleges at all levels are underperforming and highly questionable in value. The ROI of a college education is plummeting to the point where an Associate's degree is worthless. A Bachelor's is rapidly reaching a point where its value is dubious at best - especially in the Arts & Humanities. The only Bachelor's really worth anything is a BS.

So why tell thousands of kids to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a year or two in college when it is overpriced and gives them no return? Just to say they did? A lot of them would be happier and get a better 'education' just by getting a job, or going to a technical school, interning, or some other option than just droning up and marching through college like a good little worker bee.

Who Saved thousands of jobs? Why, it was Obama!

Dude, seriously, nobody is buying your BS. How in the hell can Obamacare cost millions of jobs when it's not in effect fully, and unemployment is decreasing? *DECREASING!!!* You have no evidence. You have dubious claims based of crackpot analysis that are there to reinforce your delusions about reality. You WANT to believe that's true, and a quick google search where a bunch of rightwing think tanks and media outlets threw up a bunch of crap reinforced it. I could try to google stuff to show it's helped CREATE jobs if I wanted to on liberal think tank pages, but I'm not going to, because I don't have a preconceived outcome I want to be true. If Obamacare works, great. If it doesn't, it doesn't. For the record, I'm not even saying it won't cost jobs. I'm saying it's ridonculous to describe the impacts of a program that's not even fully implemented yet on a complex economic system!

So I guess Reagan was a dirty commie for bailing out Chrysler?! You're arguments are absurd! Your solution to our economic problems was to let Chrysler and GM go bankrupt and balloon unemployment beyond the 10% that it was?!?! Do you have any idea how macroeconomics actually work?! There's a reason why Reagan and Obama both bailed out Chrysler. Had Reagan been president, he would have bailed GM out, too. You know why? Because thankfully, both men when push comes to shove threw ideology out the window on the really big things and did what was best for the country. Lord knows I objected on principle that the banks got bailed out, but it had to be done for the good of everyone. Here we are, several years from those decisions, and unemployment is declining, and the economy is rebounding. You can link as many right wing articles as you want as snarky as you wish to be, but guess what - the policies worked. And I'd say the same thing to liberals who objected to the bank bailouts, too. But the bottom line is the policies are working.

Sorry, but you're wrong.

>> ^quantumushroom:

Call an ace an ace - this worked. Obama continued a working policy.
Taxpayers on the hook for billions they'll never see recouped: NOT success. These same companies expecting the same bailouts again down the road? NOT success. While we're on the subject: Medicare fraud to the tune of 60 billion EVERY year? NOT success.
Bush was wrong and His Earness was wrong. These corporations should have filed for bankruptcy.
And stop with the Obamacare costing millions of jobs. You don't have any evidence to back it up.

SIGH.
These weak sauce "success" stories are nothing more than obamedia shills defending their king.

P.S. LIBERALS run Detroit and have for decades. Until that changes, it has NO chance.

Romney - What Does The Constitution Say? Lets Ask Ron Paul!

>> ^Lawdeedaw:

Hrm, interesting since I am drunk... But you said, "Also too," which makes all that you wrote moot! Ha, also can mean "too!" I win!

I intentionally do that as a snarky homage to Sarah Palin.
>> ^Lawdeedaw:
All jokes aside...the constitution, as I said, is understood backwards by Paul. If it isn't wrote, the government has the ability to do (At least the State.)
Universal healthcare is legal, not because of the commerce clause...but because it is.

I think of it the same way. I read Article I, Section 8 as being something along the lines of "Congress's powers include, but are not limited to..." rather than the Paulite "This is the comprehensive and limited list of Congress's powers, and Congress has no authority to do anything that isn't explicitly defined in this list..."

Essentially I think the Constitutional authority of Congress is more defined by "necessary and proper" and "promoting the General Welfare". People's conception of what policies meet those standards may shift over time, but those overall goals are essentially permanent.

IMO, indefinite detention of terrorists is neither necessary nor proper, so it should be unconstitutional. Health insurance mandates are both, and promote the General Welfare as well, so they are.

People might disagree with me on those evaluations, but that's why we have elections.

Voice Actor Recovers From TMD By Taking Ambien

bmacs27 says...

>> ^spoco2:
Wow, seriously, you don't get the issue here? You really are going to suck if you never see the larger picture.
"Garry, we've done it! This pill makes people be able to speak for a couple of hours at a time!"
"Awesome, what are the side effects?"
"Pffft, like I give a shit, it works man."
"Um, you aren't concerned at all about long term effects?"
"Nope, I made someone talk... I'm a fucking GOD man"
"Ok, good luck with that."

No, I don't think you get the issue. The guy is downright lucky an existing drug "solves" his problem. It isn't as though he's part of a large group of post tooth pull TMD sufferers. This isn't the sort of thing you can convince anyone to spend any money to research. Simply saying something like "look ambien works" doesn't really mean somebody can just run to their garage and whip up a new drug that only targets the specific parts he wanted it to target, or some stem cell therapy that could repair damage.

Part of my snarky undercurrent, and I hesitate to say this, is that I think this might be fake. If it is fake, it isn't funny because people do suffer from these sorts of disorders. If it isn't fake, the diagnosis is probably wrong because it is likely a central not peripheral nervous issue. I was just watching the video with a professional speech therapist. She pointed out that not only does he have the temporomandibular joint issue, but he also seems to be having tongue and mouth shape ataxia. His facial symmetry is good, which suggests it isn't lateralized nerve damage (like you might expect from a tooth pull). Further, it is difficult to conceive of a mechanism by which pharmacology could have that sort of effect on "damaged wires" so to speak. It's possible he's simply the victim of a misdiagnosis, in which case I feel bad him. However, given that he is a voice actor, I fear this might be a publicity stunt in horribly poor taste. That's not even mentioning the fact that he looks remarkably cogent for a guy on ambien (you know, all those side effects you were talking about).
