Vladimir Putin's yacht, Graceful, appears to have a different call sign on a few yacht tracking websites.

As Russian oligarch yachts are being tracked around the world, Putin's luxury boat typically has the call sign UBGV8, according to FleetMon.

But on another website, MarineTraffic, Bloomberg reporter Ryan Gallagher and Good Pillow CEO William LeGate noticed that someone changed the call sign to FCKPTN and its current maritime position is "Hell."

Gallagher tweeted that it was an offshoot group from the hackers Anonymous known as The Anon Leaks,

They "told me they did it by manipulating the maritime 'Automatic Identification System,' which is used to track ship locations," he tweeted. "They said they wanted to put the yacht in the scope of sanction packages as well as 'put a little smile on some faces for a short period in these dark times.'"

It would require a fairly intensive refactor to get it to work. The hardest part would be figuring out how to shoehorn GOTO into a modern BASIC interpreter since that command was taken out back and shot in the head -- and for good reason -- but with the memory and processor restrictions of computers at the time, GOTO was necessary because GOSUB required 4 bytes of stored information and a bit more processing power. There's also a number of functions that are exclusive to TRS-DOS BASIC and the Model III in particular.

*a former military serviceman, back from Iraq, noticed that Congress has far fewer former service members in their ranks since the early '80s. he noted in the military there are many ilks of service personnel, but they all work toward one goal. they have to - or they fail. reading this, have to believe - like Bush, Sr and Clinton both agreed on - that all Americans should put in some form of national service . since it'd foster a better understanding of other Americans: how they lived, how they were raised, their beliefs, the challenges they must face...i.e. see more than what's outside your 'bubble'.

Really interesting. Like @StukaFox I was thinking about the window issue. I've heard that one reason window shutters need to be open at take-off and landing is so emergency crews can look in as well as cabin crew looking out.

One funny point of wording too. At 13:24 when talking about sensor failure he says how redundancy in design is so necessary. In light of this I found it funny that his conclusion regarding pressure vessel structure at 22:37 was that having a hardened skin around an arched pressurised section is a waste because it makes the internal section entirely redundant. OK, so I agree with him on both points, it just made me smile.

Yeah, you laugh, but this is pretty much a real thing. I didn't know you're not supposed to make eye contact with fellow riders on the Tube. Being the happy American sort, I did exactly that, including a smile and a nod to the poor bastard who looked up at exactly the wrong moment. That shit's "funny" online, but dealing with meth addicts in real life sucks more than you can ever possibly know. Potheads can be annoying, acid casualties are scary, cokeheads are cunts, drunks are a fight waiting to happen, but meth addicts are their own level of the abyss. Take raving paranoia, mix in terrifying levels of potential violence and remove any semblance of sanity and you've got your average meth addict going off the rails. I never used to carry a gun when I was on about my business ventures back in the 80s, but once meth showed up, I changed my tune on that matter. The pot business was handshakes and smiles, but the assholes dealing meth were always trouble and the more meth they were dealing, the more likely violence was. The only time I was ever involved in murder was because of a meth dealer. These assholes are ALWAYS trouble.
