Based on the other videos from the YouTube channel, this is the ever-growing sinkhole in Louisiana caused by a salt dome collapse.

I ain't a scientist but I have read a bit into this. Basically, a cavern forms underground beneath a body of water, or where water has seeped through. Over time the cavern gets bigger and bigger and bigger until it collapses and everything above it sinks down.

That's why videos of sinkholes occur by water or in a region with bayous, etc. I don't know about every type of sinkhole situation but this is the most common that I know of. (I lived in Florida and it happens a lot.) It's also possible for older pockets to exist where water once flowed, and then the earth just needed some change that eventually breaks the thin layer above.

I sobbed when I watched this video. I wasn't aware of the just how bad it is in Florida right now. There are many informative videos and articles about it out there, even a VICE guide or two. Fuck sinkholes and fuck a government who sits on their hands.

It's Florida. Simple as that. That's all the story you need. This happens, a lot. And hopefully the stupid conspiracy theorists I've seen on YouTube claiming this is fake don't show up here.

Florida's substrate is mostly limestone, which is also why we have such a huge aquifer. However, as more and more people move here and more developers continue to build without any other thought than profit margins, we'll see this more and more. Add tons of weight, then pump out all the water holding a fragile strata together, and then surprise, sinkhole.

In this case, it's the same as the others. People are at home, sinkhole forms, and people get killed. In this case there are 6 dead, and this guy was the only one willing to go on camera.

A sinkhole started in this guy's brother's bedroom, sucked him and his bed into it-The man here tried in vain to help his bro before help arrived, rescue got there and most likely decided the area was unstable, the guy's bro was already a goner, and CNN swoops in for some heart-wrenching camera-time with this poor grieving man like the cunts they are-
