Well, it's used both ways, quite often SFX is used for Special Effects comprising both visual and sound.

You can't really say FX on it's own, well you can, but it sounds silly, and if you're trying to say Special Effects it gets shortened to SFX

Ha! Yeah..... well, because I came via the video as I'm subscribed to Steve Johnson's youtube channel, so my head was purely in the space of the SFX and he who made them. This even though I immediately went 'huh, Alan Alda' when I first started watching the video.

I cannot express how much disappointment I have that this might as well be a childs book with the silly voice module on the side rather than a proper DVD documentary. They even have the gall to say they are doing something new when you could find talking Elmo books for what, at least a decade now?

Reminds me a lot of Neill Blomkamp's shorts.

SFX were nice, thought the last one looked a bit two dimensional though. Like a photo with burn marks on.
