Ron Paul on CNN April 28th: "Polled 2nd in Pennsylvania"

NetRunner says...

^ I'll confess to being under informed on Ron Paul's policies. The main things I've heard him talk about is monetary policy, ending American imperialism, and eliminating the bulk of what the U.S. government does, including regulating businesses. I'm with him on the first two, but that last one is a deal breaker for me.

A quick search of his website yielded this:
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/290/regulation-free-trade-and-mexican-trucks/

A couple sentences in is this gem:

Not only that, but the anti-competitive and burdensome yoke of over-regulation of our industry at home is about to send a lot more Americans to the unemployment lines.

Ron Paul's no enemy of corporations.

I think if corporations were opposed to Dr. Paul, it's mostly because he'd want to cut out their fat, juicy subsidies. They'd take that in trade for ending most regulation in a heartbeat, but why make the trade when a full-fledged Republican will strive to give them both?

Fox vs Ron Paul via CNN

Grimm says...

Since FOX is locking him out of tonights GOP forum, Dr. Paul will bring his message of liberty and constitutional government directly to the people with real questions, real answers, as fair and balanced as politics gets.

Tonight on local New Hampshire television and simulcast on this website at http://www.ronpaul2008.com/snippets/127/manchester-townhall/ , Ron Paul will take questions from an audience of undecided voters in the Granite State.

From RonPaul2008.com:

"December 16, 2007

We are close to making history. In November, we mentioned that the all-time, single-day primary fundraising record is John Kerry's $5.7 million in 2004. At this hour, Ron Paul stands at $5.4 million.

Won't you help Ron Paul make history?

If you are considering donating, please help us by making your donation before midnight EST tonight. And if you have donated already, won't you help us by contributing again? https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate

By the way, we are closing in on 25,000 first-time donors today. That's unbelievable! Help us hit this mark too by telling your friends about this historic day!

That ain't cool. RP has plenty of quality videos and there is no reason to hijack a Gravel video. The message is what counts...hopefully ryan34 will change this to the original source.

Ron Paul: Breaking Through the Media

"Our Power, Our Responsibility" : (Ron Paul)

johnald128 says...

His main goal seems to be to return more power to the people, and let the individual issues shake themselves out from there. He's the only Republican candidate who has never been compromised.
his popularity is representing a legitimate threat to the stranglehold that the neo-conservatives have on the Republican Party.
Vote for him if only because the world needs the neo-conservatives out of the White House!

Ron Paul Raises over a million dollars in 7 days. (Election Talk Post)

Ron Paul is the only candidate I see that is actually creating genunie voter enthusiam, the only other candidate that somehow comes close is Barak Obama.

Check out these straw poll results, this is the candidate the media consistently calls the long shot.

Some MCs made a hip hop song for him... Ron Paul for Freedom

PS: And Yes for the Videosift Strawpoll, even though we would get a more internationally flavoured result it would still be interesting.

Ron Paul - Iowa Straw Poll

vsift says...

There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is not saying the pilots or passengers or the crew should be able to bring guns. What he says is that the airlines should be able to protect themselves - whether the pilots, stewards or guards should carry guns - it's upto them to decide. It's their property, they know best how to protect them. Let's assume for a moment, that an airline does allow passengers to bring guns. Do you really think that their business will survive ?

Though he didn't make it clear, he has said elsewhere, that abortion is a state issue. By getting rid of Roe vs Wade, he is giving more power to the states to decide on that. From his website: "I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life."
