Lorde performing Royals at the Grammys
She is. I think she wrote this song when she was 15. Her Mother is a poet laureate in NZ. I read a big story about her in Rolling Stone. Pretty interesting. A lot more together than some of her peers. Who knows if the fame will change her though.
She's 17? I only ask because she looks like a modern day Madonna. Or maybe Wednesday. Awesome song tho'

Louis CK on Daily Show. My Two Favorite Things.
I'm just worried about the next kid that wants to get on the cover of Rolling Stone while expressing his grievances in a heinous way.
Attention doesn't motivate all terrorists, but it motivates many of them. Consider the unabomber, who explicitly demanded attention (forcing major newspapers to print his manifesto) in order to stop his attack spree.
People are just unhappy because his picture doesn't make him look like what they think a terrorist should look like. They called him a monster right next to it, but people are grumpy that his picture doesn't fit the narrative.
What About Love?
You should write a column for Rolling Stone.
Big hair, Lauper-garb, and cocaine blowing around the room like pollen- 80s music videos: They were cheese, but it's better than the 90s M-vid-formula: gang-bangers, pool-parties with giant booties, and alpha-male douchebags iambicly vomiting verse to simpleton beats and remedial melodies-
Dr Hook - Freakin at the Freaker's Ball (live)
"we take all kinna pills, to give us all kinna thrills"
-"Cover of the Rolling Stone", written by Shel Silverstein performed by Dr.Hook, 1973
That's just conservative disinformation...I'm sure they'd -never- do drugs that didn't come from big pharma.

...loookit Charlie Watts all boss on the top!! (the rest of em er fucked, WAY-the-fuck-up!)
I had the BIGGEST crush on CW back in the day ... such an interestingly aloof looking character. [I've found that drummers and bass players are the oddest band members as a rule]

Some nasty-clean resolution on this old magnetic tape-Looks like a fat piece of wide strip form an archive.

*audio (Audio Talk Post)
I first started with the light stuff — you know — Barney, Sesame Street, maybe some Elephant Show. Then some lady I knew, we'll call her "mom" to protect her identity, introduced me to some shit that blew my mind. At first she pushed the less harsh brand of audio like Mr. Mister but that quickly elevated — as it does — when she introduced me to dealers of the brash, sometimes heady, audio like Billy Idol or Pat Benatar. By then, I was in deep man. I still hung around "mom", but soon started mixing in with the likes of another crowd. Leader of that group we'll call "grandma". She wasn't as gentle as "mom" was when getting me hooked on her personal audio dealers. Dealers like "the Moody Blues," "the Rolling Stones," and finally "Pink Floyd." At that point...it was game over.
