(Quoting Bill Murray as Phil Conners in Groundhog Day after Rita tells him she majored in French poetry.)

Hehe. What a waste of time!

I mean for someone else that would be an incredible waste of time... so brave of you to choose that.

Meet Norway’s Modern-Day Vikings

Lumm says...

"[...] you haven’t been to Trondheim, Norway. The town still lives like their ancient ancestors before them[...]"

I have been to Trondheim, and while it was some years ago, it was a modern city at the time. I don't recall making my shoes or anything.

"[...] all lead by Chief Viking Ingrid Galadriel Aune Nilsen." That's gonna be news to the residents, who probably thought that Trondheim's mayor, who Google tells me is Rita Ottervik, led the city.

A Chameleon Like No Other

Okay, now that was fucking cool.

I'm impressed. And I'm not easily impressed. (Quote from Rita in Groundhog Day.)

I can't believe I didn't see it sooner.

'Groundhog Day' - You Think You Know Movies?

lucky760 says...

I knew all those trivial facts except that when he woke on Feb 3 Rita was supposed to be stuck in her own loop. That's an interesting concept that got my mind spinning for a moment, but I quickly realized that wouldn't really make much sense given how wonderful a person she's already proven to be on Feb 2.

That's right woodchuck chuckers, it's Groundhog Dayyyyy!

Male Cops Strip Woman During DUI Arrest

Jerykk says...

http://www.rita.dot.gov/bts/sites/rita.dot.gov.bts/files/publications/by_the_numbers/drunk_driving/index.html

Considering the damage that drunk driving causes, a strip search is a pretty lenient punishment for a DUI arrest. But hey, let's ignore the fact that thousands of people are killed in drunk driving-related incidents. A woman is being embarrassed! This is an outrage!

If the woman wasn't driving drunk, she'd have my sympathy. But I have no sympathy for drunk drivers, male or female. They deserve every punishment they get.

Anne Hathaway demo tape for the Queen Tribute Band

It's called, " Ella Enchanted (2004)"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327679/

Obviously a gem that slipped-through the cracks and inspired a casting-call for her her to eventually star in another version of Les Miserables, and her inevitable Oscar for her multi-talented skills as the pert, cute, and can sing-her-own-parts-kinna powerhouse (hate all the Les Miserable screen-adaptations, have yet to see this one).

Compare to these classic multi-talented hotties Debbie Reynolds, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich

The only modern actress' that come close in actual pipes and raw beauty are Scarlet Johansson and Nicole Kidman, who can pretty-much sing her tiny little cute Aussie ass off...

Oh wait, lest we forget the two dames from Chicago (2002), who can hold their own with the rest-Zeta-Jones and Zelweger, but Renée was trumped by Catherine in that film.

Where they constantly complain about "reposts" and "karma". It's a strange, rather self-congratulatory community at times and it feels like a group I just can't get into.

The stuff you find is brilliant at times but it's strictly a read-only experience for me.

Actually can anyone explain what the point of karma is? Is there a leaderboard or something because I've never seen one. I just don't get their meta-game.

I don't know if this is off-topic but while I have the mic I wanted to express my appreciation to dag for maintaining this site. VideoSift has introduced me to many things here that I don't know that I would have seen otherwise.
